Great b-fast sandwich made to order. Subs great also- made to order with quality ingredients. A bit of a learning curve here though. Go to the left, pick up a ticket, circle desired ingredients and submit to the waiting clerk. I have never encountered a rude employee with or without my children (lol). Short Stop is always a great choice for a quick to-go sandwich.

I love the food. It tastes great. Vendors are friendly. I do wish they would bring back the tables and chairs. It would be a great place to sit and eat lunch
Seems to be a must-visit if you’re in town, so stopped by for a bagel. The sandwiches looked fantastic and according to all the other reviews are a must try. The bagel was great and the cream cheese delicious. No place to sit inside so be ready to take out. Service was fast and friendly.
Best subs and cheesesteaks in Ithaca by a country mile. Really good bread quality and sandwich ingredients, and huge portions. Beautiful neon signs, hacky convenience store-items, and the ceiling dripping into a bucket set the ambiance to your gastronomic romp. It really doesn't even get close so there's no second place, but I guess that stand in Wegmans can get an honorable third mention. Definitely don't get the tater tots tho, but why would you at a sub store?
You won't find a better sandwich in Ithaca! You can't beat the quality of their bread or deli meats. Nowhere else will you be able to customize your sandwich or sub or w.e the way you can here. Also, the combo is an amazing deal and the Deep River chips are supreme.
I've gone there for over forty years off and on; it's a classic Ithaca institution that Chuck and his crew have been stewarding through thick and thin. Lately I've gone there almost daily for a breakfast sandwich and it's not only a good deal but clearly the best in town.
Very solid corner store that makes some pretty good sandwiches. I came here with lofty expectations after what I had heard from other people, but I can't say that those expectations were met. I've been here twice now - I got pulled pork (pictured below) and BBQ chicken. There is no seating, so this is naturally a takeout type restaurant. Service was quick and prices were fair (8 inch subs are roughly $10 and 12 inches is roughly $15, depending on what you get in the sub).
Taste was good, but not great. Presentation really isn't their forte, but that is alright. I prefer DiBella's subs in a vacuum, but they've got their own issues of their own. The pork was well-seasoned, but the whole package just didn't seem to come together and deliver something that is truly rememberable.
I went back after the first time, so I like it, but it did not meet my lofty expectations.

We were visiting from Cleveland for the holiday weekend. After a Hike by the Ithaca Falls, we discovered this great looking deli shop. It was beyond amazing and delicious! Everything is made fresh in front of you. Their sandwiches are huge, filling and stuffed with toppings. You definitely get your money’s worth. Their chili is also phenomenal. I highly recommend this deli stop to anyone local and visiting. The staff is the nicest group of people. Very friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you for a great experience :)
My favorite vegetarian sandwich joint, ever. Moved to California 5 years ago, but had to drive out of our way to grab a bite while visiting NY because it is that good!
