Purity Ice Cream Co. is seriously awesome! 🍦⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently swung by for a scoop of their butter pecan, mocha, and strawberry flavors, and man, they're something else. The butter pecan is all creamy and nutty, loaded with these crunchy pecan bits that I couldn't get enough of. Mocha is like a coffee explosion in your mouth, perfectly balancing that java kick with sweet ice cream vibes. And the strawberry, oh boy, it's like biting into a juicy, ripe strawberry right from the garden. This place doesn't mess around with their ice cream. It's the real deal, made with top-notch ingredients that you can actually taste. They've got a bunch of wild flavors to choose from, so you'll definitely find something that tickles your taste buds. This is THE must-go ice cream place that every tourist and most locals go to. An Ithaca institution since the 1930s, Purity has tons of flavors. Like most of the region, it's soft serve vanilla with flavor mixed in. The sundaes are amazing and have huge portions at a reasonable price. They also serve burgers, chicken, salads, grilled cheese and breakfast sandwiches. You can also get fresh baked pies - whole to go or by the slice, a la mode if you want with any flavor.

If you’re looking for a unique spot to grab some ice cream, check this place out! I’ve been here twice now (a few years apart) and both times have been great. They’ve got a decently sized seating area inside with some fun decor. There’s plenty of flavors, toppings, and cones to choose from so definitely try mixing and matching. The employees were friendly and were actively cleaning the tables outside. I’d give it 5 stars but there’s always a bit of a wait (~20-30 minutes total, maybe longer for larger families) and it seems a bit pricier than other places. It’s worth it if you’re looking to try something completely different, just not for a quick and simple cone. It’s still an experience so be sure to try it out!

Had to stop in here while visiting Ithaca - as its a famous local spot! Super cute ice cream parlor! It was busy on a Saturday night & the wait wasn’t bad at all! We came for the vegan ice cream. Got the dark chocolate with Oreo topping. Not sure what “base” they use for vegan but it was good! Creamy & delicious! Lots of outdoor & indoor seating. One block over is the waterfront so we enjoyed our icecream then went for a walk!

Not quite a 4 star but better than a 3 star. Love the variety, the commitment to renewable energy and the retro vibe. The ice cream was both a good and not so good experience. Cookie dough after dark was delicious as expected but it’s a chocolate base not vanilla. The pistachio was very artificial tasting and looking. We couldn’t finish it which was a shame. It’s tough because you can’t see the actual ice-cream just the flavour names. Would have been able to avoid the pistachio issue if we were able to see the colour.
