We ended up stopping here the first day to grab some sandwiches Togo for breakfast. We made our own biscuits with sausage, egg and cheese which were ok but it was like sausage and not a patty which I don’t prefer as much. The next day I went by myself and got a tater tot tower and bacon, egg and cheese on white toast for the other guys. The other guys said the sandwiches were awesome. But this tater tot tower was crazy. This was more food than any person should probably eat in a sitting and it was a very reasonable price. You could easily share this. The one I had came with scrambled eggs and sausage gravy and country ham. I didn’t read the country ham part when I ordered it so I would leave that out next time. But it was great. The service is awesome and the food is good and comes out quick. Great little spot.

Great old diner counter seating + table seating. Hot coffee. Good service. Good food. We didn't do anything crazy but if I make it back this trip I will do the Crab Benedict and April will do the stacked tater tots as they were huge.

My wife and I had a great time at this eatery! The vibe was friendly and welcoming and the portions were generous. The Mexican Quesadilla was much larger than I was anticipating and I loved it. My wife also enjoyed her sliced potato and crossaint.

Oh my god this place is 5stars alllll day! my husband and i and our 4 little ones went here for breakfast and EVERYTHING we all got tasted AMAZING! I don't usually do reviews but this food was wayyy to amazing not to.i got eggs do, Benedict (it's my go to for breakfast and it seriously couldn't have been more perfect from flavor,texture,portion everything was 5 stars for sure..even the sweet tea was the best iv ever had..deff will only be going here for breakfast everytime we're down thare! HIGHLY recommend!

This was a fun and tasty breakfast spot. The coffee was hot and refilled regularly. While I ordered your typical diner food of eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns, there was plenty of more gourmet options including many types of French toast. I’m not gluten free but they had lots of GF options.

This was the perfect end to a long trip. We arrived at 1:28 without seeing they close at 2pm. So sorry. However, they sat us and served us. The cappuccinos were slightly bitter but with a smidge of added sugar it ended up perfectly balanced. My husband ordered the club and slaw with a pickle. He said it was delicious. I had their special: 8 French toast slices mix and match. The cinnamon roll French toast was by far my favorite. There was so much food on both our plates for the reasonable prices they offered. I would totally visit again if in the area.

Loved sitting at the counter, just like old times! Great atmosphere, many locals, and plenty of food! I had the Tater Tot Tower Kitchen SINK and it had everything - Yum! A fair price for the amount you receive and coffee was great too! Service was spot-on!

Mangrove Mike's is definitely a local place to go everybody there is so nice and pleasant. The breakfast was great they have decent size portions so trust me you will be full when you leave. There's also a little bit of history in there about mike and how generous he was. If your ever in islamorada I recommend stopping by and getting some good breakfast. The earlier the better them seem to get busy around 830 or 9.

Definitely a must stop for some good breakfast. Food was fresh, fast, tasty.. and service was friendly and good! Great menu options!! I had the Kitchen Sink Tater Tot Tower.. way too much food for $10 bucks. Friend had country wrap and was cooked perfectly.

Service was poor and food was mediocre. Not impressed and will not go back. Waitress informed the table behind us that locals get a discount but did not even read us the specials. Waitress was training a new waitress and was clearly passing down her poor skills. Will not be returning even if it is the only place on the island open.

Booked Mangrove Mikes for a destination wedding in Islamorada, worst mistake ever!!! Had 40 people fly in for the wedding and Mangrove Mikes didn't show up!!! Dealt with Mike himself and have emails to prove it. Still haven't received a call back for an apology. Mike obviously doesn't care about the satisfaction of his customers. We had to run out to the grocery store during the wedding and get food for everyone. Don't put the outcome of your event in Mikes hands, you can't rely on Mangrove Mikes. Still waiting for a call back Mike!!!!!!!! Thanks for making my sister cry on her wedding day

Stopped here for breakfast.. We were in a time crunch but the staff was so accommodating! They sat us right away and took our order. Our food was out in 10 mins. I ate the banana bread French toast - the portion was huge and I was only able to eat half. It was delicious and banana-y but a little heavy. My mom had a 2-egg combo with grits and bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waitress stopped by plenty of times to check on us and was very friendly! We were in and out with time to spare! Definitely make the stop here for brunch!

Average place to eat reasonable price two of us ate for 14 bucks. Fresh fruit and side salad option...was able to find a grilled chicken wrap full of spinach and veggies. On the other hand taco bar looked terrible meat floating in grease with nothing that even looked like fresh salsa...veggies on the bar were boiling in some liquid looked very soggy and colorless. Service was friendly and fast...nice little art gallery to browse while you wait.

Best B'fast in the Upper Keys. We stopped at Mangrove Mike's on our way up from Marathon to a snorkeling trip at Pennekamp. The place was bustling but our waitress was attentive, friendly and efficient. The menu is pretty extensive for a breakfast joint and they don't hold back on the portions. Everything came out hot, quick and delicious (the sausage links were particularly good). The interior is retro 50's Keys and spotless. Great place to eat if you have to be somewhere. We'll stop here anytime we're back in the Keys.
