Scotch eggs were very good. Came served with a cup of brown gravy. Never had that before but was actually tasty. The house salad was just meh. The chicken & chips were very good. The breaded tenderloin came served on a brioche bun which was very tasty! This was just the "large" tenderloin. They offer a "humongous" size too. Service was fantastic even with a party going at the same time. We'll be back. Pics included. Enjoy! 20151212
We just ate here for dinner and it was very good. We had the fish and chips and a combo plate (chicken strips and fish with chips). They were huge portions and the fish seemed to be very high quality. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Seems to be a nice irish pub, and we will probably come back to try some of the beers they had.

This place is amazing. Great Irish-American cuisine! They make the best bread pudding too! If you aren't here, your life sucks! Haha
We've never had something we didn't like when eating here. They have the best pretzel buns and we really enjoy the fries and cheese curds. I appreciate that they have turkey burgers instead of just beef. Good service, good prices, and it's usually not busy when we go for dinner.
My friends and I went on a Saturday night for karaoke with DJ Skyler. It was great! The service was perfect, the drinks were strong, and the DJ was awesome. He tried to get as many singers on the floor as he could and helped out the tipsy singers. I had the potato skins & French fries, which were delicious. We'll be back!
What great local pub & eatery, being from out of town I did not know what to expect but they came through with a great diverse menu, awesome experience and and excellent craft beer list. They have an awesome game room in the back for when you need to challenge your friends, a great bar, and a big restaurant area. So no matter your demographic there is a place for you. When I travel I am always looking to try local brewery's beers, they have put together a great tap list. So if you are passing through or live down the road I would highly recommend McGilverys for food or fun. Also it is always a good sign with the owners are there and involved in the operation. Great job and we will see you next trip!
Third trip here and third different selection from the menu. This place never disappoints. The Southe is a two man portion of I don't know what, but it was wonderful. The curry dish with chicken and real rice (not that Minute Rice crap) is very good. Tonight I had the Shepherds Pie that is uniquely topped with hash browns, again, very very good. You should definitely give this place a shot.
My favorite hangout bar, been coming here for many years ( including the old location ), I'm not big on Irish food but what I've had here has been excellent. One of the friendliest staff you'll find on the south side. Super selection of local craft beers ( bottled & draughts ) & the owners take pride in knowing the products and having their servers know them too. Daily specials on food & drinks. You'll definitely want to make this one of your stops when in town
Definitely not your father's McGilvery's.... Great atmosphere & decor, and the food is AMAZING! Best corned beef & cabbage I've ever had. Many great traditional Irish dishes. Super friendly staff.
I'm gonna give it a tentative 4 stars. The cook was new and had no clue about Irish cooking... LOL
But, the beer bread was awesome, the poutine was great tasting (but not traditional) and I could tell the quality was there in what did have, even if the preparation was off.
It's a nice quiet place in the afternoon. Me and my fiance go there for lunch/dinner and have never had a bad service. The food is always amazing and the people are awesome! Keep up the amazing job
Good food, cold beer, great service. I don't come here often, only when I have business in the area. Food and service have been the same for a while. Great place.
