I am a gal originally from the N.E. -Rochester NY, actually. I have meant to check this place out every time I go to my doctor's office near there. I finally went in and picked up lunch for my son and I to take home. I am now mad I cheated myself for so long. The lunch was fresh and delicious! They have an adorable and bustling dining in area . They offer a wide variety of salads and fresh seafood if the customer prefers to take the uncooked seafood and items meant to prep the food at home and make it themselves.
They offer a variety of desserts for there or to take home also. The soft drinks are Pepsi.
Lastly, each and every member of their versatile staff was so pleasant and ready to help.
I will DEFINITELY be back!!

If you’re a seafood lover, I highly recommend this restaurant/shop. The lobster roll and catfish fillet were both amazing, and they have one of the best smoked tuna salad.
Oysters were meaty and fresh the fried basa was good. The crabcake was good too. I really enjoyed the sauces, remoulade tartar and cocktail. They're made in house and were a great compliment
Came here for lunch after the recommendation of a coworker. Fish was fresh and the staff was friendly. The fish had a little too much pepper and lemon for my taste but was still good. If you like seafood I do recommend this restaurant/store for a quick lunch.
I appreciate Molly for standing behind their products. It gave me a second chance to try their food. I had it 2 days in a row from Shadeland and Pendleton Pike. The fish was delicious I had catfish, perch and whiting. The whiting and catfish from Pendleton Pike was fried to perfection. The shrimp poboy was great! I will be back
I went here while traveling through Indiana and wow, they make some delicious food! I had the shrimp po' boy with fried okra and hushpuppies. The Sandwich was hard to grab but was very good, especially with the sauce they gave me. I think it was tartar sauce but it tasted a little different than how I make it. The hush puppies were crispy and so was the fried okra. It's been a while since I've had fried okra and hush puppies that were that good. The cashier was very friendly too. I bought some lobster bisque from the shop and I'm looking forward to trying it later.
I visited Caplinger's today for the first time and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Basa dinner with two sides. The portion was quite large and everything was very good! I will definitely be back.
If you want seafood that feels and taste just like you ate it by the ocean Caplinger’s is the place for you. I got the Caplingers special basket. It came with chipotle coleslaw, hush puppies, and fried white fish. The slaw was super tasty and different than any slaw I’ve had before. The fish was super flaky and tender. The hush Puppies were crispy and delicious. Overall I highly recommend taking a trip over to Caplingers to give their seafood a try.

Love their sandwich. You can ask them to make any sandwich with their fish or shrimp, fried or grilled.

Caplinger Fresh Catch is a fresh fish market; they also sell cooked dinners, sandwiches and seasonings. They are located near Starbucks a meal costs between 14-,25 dollars My scores: cleanliness 5, service 5, food 5. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out for fish or seafood
