Our waitress (Elaine) was super nice to us and made us feel welcomed (we arrived 40 min before closing on a Saturday.)
Food tasted very good... we had fil-a-mignons/salad/mac n cheese/house salads. Their mozzarella sticks are also very good! This is a definite place to visit for anyone visiting Indianapolis!
Bathrooms are clean (even late on a Saturday night!) - yes, that means a lot to visitors!

I once rated Murphy's as 5 stars. For 25 to 30 years I have eaten there regularly but in the past year the quality of the food and service has gone from 5 to 2 stars. The only reason they get even 2 is because of Dave Lowe on the piano on Wednesday night. I do not know if the cooks are different or what but the food quality and selection is at best mediocre. The steaks are fatty and never cooked to order like in days past. I'm not really sure if I would recommend it as a great steakhouse. Sorry Murphy's---- you get 2 stars!
UPDATE: Ok Murphy's you are now up to 4 stars!! Keep up the good service and great food and you will get back to 5 stars!!!

Really nice place for a really good meal, staff is friendly and tentative, the restaurant is very clean and quite quiet for a really nice ambiance, pricing is fair and portions are generous. I recommend the breaded mushrooms for a appetizer and the sweet tea is really good as well.
Came here for the first time and we loved it. Great service from Elaine. I also like how the tables aren't on top of each other. Best fries ever. Can't wait to try everything.
I really liked this place! I haven’t been here since it was Pat Flynn’s, and the atmosphere doesn’t seem to have changed much, but our seat what comfortable, our food was tasty, there’s a ton of space making it fairly easy to get a table, and we were even delightfully surprised to hear live music begin to play toward the end of our visit. Our service was pretty good until the end when we were waiting for our check, but all in all it is a local Indy restaurant worth checking out and supporting. 🥨🎶🥃
I come for the chicken tenders! This is my go to spot for some of the best chicken strips in town. You get a huge serving of strips and fries that is guaranteed to fill you up. Staff is friendly, the place is fairly clean and tidy. Most of the lunch crowd is retirees, so you know it's a value. Specials change daily, and I've never had anything bad there.
My family has been coming here for years! The food is good, love the wings and pretzels, and the service is as well. They definitely make you feel welcome no matter your age, gender or preferences.
Food was ok... Service was great. There was a jazz quartet playing....They made the night fabulous.
They have moved to 5198 n allsionville road. murphy's has other locations on the southside northside etc.. You should check them all out depending on what you want it's a great family business and with the merge of Pat Flynn's (on 52nd st) you will even see some of that old crew as well. The original Murphy's can be seen on some of the parks and rec department shows it was very retro and it was sad to see it but the customers are very happy now and still enjoy their Thursday meatloaf and Waynes steaks!! ...you must be warned though parking is hard at lunchtime and it's like Cheers when you walk in the entire bar will look at you. They don't bite:)
A nice lunch location close to the State Fairgrounds. They have good lunch specials everyday. I had the tenderloin which was seasoned nicely and was thick and meaty. It was the perfect sandwich for lunch. Most places try to out do each other to see which tenderloin is the biggest. The wait staff was very friendly and on top of refills when needed.
