Fat Dan's

To my knowledge they’re our only 4 locations, which is insane! This place is awesome. Normally when I’m out of town I never eat at a chain, but I let my wife pick. 😂 anyways I’m glad she did because this place is amazing. Smoked wings up there in terms of quality & flavor! We also got the loaded tots, which came with hot sauce and nacho cheese with pulled pork (out of this world) then we shared a burger. Very good as well, but if I come back I’m trying the Chicago beef sandwich! Good prices, and atmosphere. If I didn’t know better I would think I’m at a local hole in the wall bar. If the owner wants to open an ohio franchise please contact me! I’m in love!!!

Visiting from Chicago, the wait staff was immaculate. Food was amazing. Chicken wings perfectly crispy. Our girl Cara hooked us up with all the sauces. I felt like she cared about me. Her energy was infectious and she gave us great recommendations. Mac and cheese, must get. Say hi to Jane and Cara when there. Great vibes all around. Would highly recommend

We had a couple of beers and sandwiches The chubby is an absolute must! We got the fries on the side per the bartenders recommendation. It was hot, juicy, and bursting with flavor! This was the best food we had in Indianapolis. I can’t say the same for the Chicago combo. The beef was a little dry and the sausage had WAAAY too much fennel. It tasted like we were biting into a bowl of potpourri. We told the bartenders we did not like this sandwich. They asked if we wanted it to go and charged us for it anyways.

Looked up for Wings near me. Came to Indy to drop off some paperwork and it was 5 o'clock madness on the roads at 5pm. So decided to find some dinner to kill a few hours. Fat Dan's Deli was on the list but not the top. Having a 4.6 rating and over 1k reviews I decided to check it out. Super plus when I pulled the map it was about two blocks from where I was leaving. Outdoor seating available, parking is a bit crazy if you can snag a spot you must back in on one side of the street or curb parking on the other and it's a one way street. In the door and the Blues are playing. The best part of making it a great spot for me. Felt like I was back in the south. I was greeted at the bar as soon as I sat down. Another customer at the bar introduced herself and we talked like we had known each other for years. Made it feel like the old days of walking into a hole in the wall bar in my younger years. Ordered up the 10 pieces of smoked dry rub wings with the fresh cut fries. You just cannot go wrong with fresh cut fries. Got the wings with the teriyaki dipping sauce. First dip I knew I went wrong. Most of their sauces are made in house but not this one. The ginger in the sauce was just too overbearing for my liking. Changed my extra sauce out for the hot BBQ made in house. It definitely had the kick but the flavor just wasn't right for me. Very clean, staff very welcoming. If you are a fan of Chicago sports, there is plenty of that on the walls here.

The place has a very relaxed atmosphere. That’s probably because it’s more of a pub. The day we went it was really hot outside so they opened the entire front to the outside, garage doors. Portions are pretty big as well and not at all expensive what you get. They’ve also got a large selection of drinks. Would love to go back, if it was closer.

Amazing atmosphere, food, and service! We had about an hour wait for the doors to open at Old National Theater so decided to try Fat Dan's just across the street. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. The Fat Burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I need to find another show to go to just for the chance to eat here again!

Stopped in today for a burger based on the reviews. I was seated immediately and servers were very friendly. Service was great! I had the wake and bake burger. With the combination listed I was very excited as I have had this combo before at other food joints. I was underwhelmed by this burger. I could taste the ham and egg, but the burger itself was unflavorful. I expected the burger meat to have some flavor, but alas, it just didn’t. However,I will be back to try something else.
