First time trying Yats. As someone from the south real creole food is hard to find but the chili cheese etoufee with crawfish was PHENOMENAL. Definitely will be returning. Also tried the white chicken chili - it was great as well but the chili cheese etoufee with crawfish stole the show!
Been coming here for over a decade, and have been to the "original Yats" in Lexington - "Yozos" now known as "Bourbon and Talouse."
Joe and Co. serve substantial, tasty food at a good price and they even take credit cards now!
My suggestion? Gumbo. Failing that, get jambalaya with gumbo poured over it. Failing that, drunken chicken. Failing that, red beans and rice.
Don't forget to get your mean "loaded" aka with sour cream, cheese, and onions!
The vegan options are great, too!
Yats is always a hit! Fast service, even better food. That garlic bread is to die for!
Yats is one of the few places I've found where I can get an awesome tasting gluten free vegan lunch - for less than $10 Service is quick, food I hot, and the place is clean. What else do you need?
Had the chili cheese crawfish etoufee. Very good especially with Louisiana hot sauce on the side. The cashier is very friendly too.
Staff is always awesome at this location!!! Very clean inside and out. Quick to assist when you’re ready. Fast service. Delicious food. Well informed on each dish’s ingredients and what ones are sweet/spicy, and willing to offer their opinions on each one they have personally tried.
15/10 every time I go here. Love this location!!! Easy access, lots of easily accessible parking, serving sizes are always reasonable especially for their prices. ❤️❤️❤️
This was my first time trying Yats. I had the Chili cheese etouffee with crawfish and it was so good! The side of bread was a delicious bonus!

Great food! Very flavorful, generous serving sizes, and a great small business. It's a very unique place for lunch compared to the other nearby restaurants. Cajun food has some hints of Indian/South Asian elements (for example, the B&B topping is very similar to subzi), which I love. It's also very filling. You get rice and garlic bread with each order, so it's a nice balanced, hardy, flavorful meal. Also have several vegan and vegetarian options. Definitely recommend trying!
