Fast-casual version of PF Chang's. Overall the service and food are always consistently great. I've been there over 10 times and have never had a bad experience.

Love this PF Changs Jr.. Pei Wei and I go way back. I place this kind of Asian food above all other run of the mill Chinese places anywhere in the US (i.e. places with the words "Dragon," "Happy," China," "Lin," "Super," "Wall," "Hong Kong," "Great," etc in the name). They constantly change their menu and keep things fresh and different. Since it's been almost a year since I've been in a Pei Wei, I was surprised to find they serve limited amounts of sushi rolls. The rolls are super cold when they arrive at your table, so you know they were pre-made and put in a refrigerator until ordered. However, as much as I want to find fault with that, I am but a lazy, bland palate-ed American who gladly accepts it as long as it tastes good, which it did.
Pei Wei has moved more towards the Chipotle-style of menu ordering where you pick your proteins, your carbs, your sauces, your veggies and your add ons as you go and make your own meals. No two meals are the same.
Also, they're still able to keep this stuff fresh as they go. Whoever wrote the review that this isn't fresh obviously uses a cane with a red tip on the end, because all vegetables come out crisp and flavorful. Same with the seasonings. And although most of their chicken is breaded and fried, it still has the allure of being light enough to not feel bloated all day.
One niggling complaint about this place is that they took away their famous (to me) iced teas that they had on the counter and replaced them with one of those 1000+ flavors Coke machines. What the heck?!
At first very disappointed, but last couple visits the food and staff has been great! definitely recommend!
My family ate here for a busy Sunday lunch. The staff was very attentive and the food very fresh. My husband ordered a spicy Korean dish with shrimp. It was nicely prepared, but not as flavorful as he was hoping for. I ordered Thai coconut curry with veggies and tofu. It was excellent! My husband who regards tofu squimishly declared he would get my dish next time. We also ordered spring rolls as an appetizer. They were great, however the dipping sauce they came with was overly sweet. This was easily rectified by adding a bit of chili paste.
Visited Pei Wei for the first time today and really liked it. The staff talked me through the menu and helped me choose a fantastic meal! We also got a complimentary spring roll to try and felt truly welcomed by our server. We'll definitely be back!!
Great Food & Atmosphere. For the price, this is the best deal in Asian fare, outside of a good buffet. The drink machine is fun as well, when they keep it stocked.
Decent Asian. Attractive setting for what is essentially fast food. However, the food is prepared fresh to order, and it was quite good. But don't think that because it's a fast food-type setting that the food will be inexpensive -- expect to spend $12-16 per person depending on what you order.
Great Casual Dining. The best part was the soda machine. They have 127 flavors and it is a touch screen. Our dinners were great for the price. After we finished eating, a waiter gave us an extra dish because I'm guessing the kitchen messed up an order. It was pretty amazing.
Place has some solid fresh Asian food for a fair price.
Clean, respecrful and full of flavor. Did not kniw what to expect but now i come here often....
The food is really good. The crab rangoon isn't your average rangoon that is over loaded with Cream Cheese, you can actually taste the jonah crab in them with the red pepper and scallions. The General Tsos is really spicy, but the meat is extremely tender. Just the right portions, even for the regular size.
I liked it. I had the chicken chow mein. The green onions or leeks or whatever they were on top were a little excessive for me but it was good.
I love coming here! Especially in the evening time with the soft color lighting. Everything I order is awesome. I've never ordered something that I didn't like. I love the atmosphere of this establishment. You and order take out, you can dine in, or pick up your food that you ordered. Come and check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Good food and friendly service. I'll be back. They offer healthy menu options! !
It's like an Asian style Chipotle, except here I'm not afraid of getting food poisoning. Biggest difference is the food actually tastes good and you order all of it up front rather than going down the line and pointing at stuff. I've been twice now and plan to keep going back on occasion.
Get the sesame shrimp bowl. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Indianapolis! They are owned by P.F. Chang's and market themselves as a cheaper version. The place is always clean and the staff is always very friendly. When you walk in, you proceed to the counter where you place your order. If you are dining in, you're given a number and a cup for your drink. The Coke machine is one of those pick your flavor kind, which I love. There is no wait staff, and the food is brought to your table as it is completed in the open kitchen area. At times one person will get their food before the rest of the table. The food always comes out hot, and full of flavor. Because there is no wait staff, if you need a refill you have to get it yourself. They do swing by and remove empty plates as needed and of course are available if you should need something you can't get yourself. Typically for the two of us we spend around $25-$27 each visit, which is reasonable even though there is no wait staff. I would spend the same elsewhere in the area. A lot of the staff are regulars and have been there since I began coming here in 2010. If you don't mind getting your own drinks, and potentially getting your food before everyone else at your table (or being the last) then this place is a definite must!
The food is tasty and flavorful. The rice is cooked perfectly, it's not over or under cooked. Just right. Crispy pan fry on the chicken, fabulous texture and quality of chicken. Sauces are complex and dont fall flat. Really good food. Large portions. Staff is A+ polite. Highly recommend especially for such low cost of dishes. I personally think it's the same quality as PF Changs restaurant food- just less price tag.
First time there. Only restaurant that I know of that has fried cauliflower rice. I'm on a low carb diet due to health reasons so I wanted to check it out. Went there for takeout, workers were very nice and explained the menu to me. My only complaint would be I wish the cauliflower rice have more flavor added. Other wise overall good experience and I'll be back.
I was VERY impressed on this first impression. The service was EXCELLENT, and the food was at least that good. I had a broccoli/ginger sauce with a mixture of beef and shrimp, over fried rice. YUM. And my cram wontons were A-MAZING. My Aunt had orange chicken over noodles, and that was delicious, too. I can't wait to go back and try something new!!
