Review The Melting Pot - Indianapolis

Went here with friends on a Wednesday. Our server, Bri I think, was great. She was awesome. The salads and entree and dessert were great. We got the Wisconsin cheese appetizer, and we didn't care for it that much. Maybe if it was cooking longer? But they dump in all the ingredients in front of you and you just wait for the cheese to melt...I dunno it just didn't taste right to us. But really everything ends was great. The variety of items to dip for the dessert was excellent.

Anthony was AMAZING ! This was our first time here and we have zero idea what we were doing, he explained ALL of our options and everything we could do or combine things with! Every piece of this 4 course meal was AMAZING! The different flavors and styles of thing was great!! Over all our experience was fantastic! The waiter was so understanding and quick to be of assistance! 10/10 highly recommended!!!

Came here for a much needed girls night. Our server was Nikki and she was very attentive and sweet. The food was amazing (did the steak plate) and the dipping sauces were phenomenal (I'm dreaming about the curry yogurt). Highly recommend!!!

The server was outstanding. Made us very comfortable. I ordered roses for the table prior to arriving, and there was one missing, but the manager personally brought it over halfway through dinner without us mentioning it, making the number correct. We were celebrating a birthday, and there was a personalized card on the table, which was sweet. There was a hair in our dessert that clearly wasn't ours, but our server quickly set this right. We were also charged for an alcoholic drink that we didn't order that was $14, so I'm lucky I checked the bil prior to paying. When bringing it up to the server, we were told there was a drunk employee the establishment was dealing with, and they would remove the charge, which they did. That felt a little unnecessary. Overall, it was probably my least favorite Melting Pot experience, but I'll still be back seeing that this is my favorite restaurant. Update: emailed regional manager as suggested about one week ago and never received response. Yes, I checked my spam folder.

The Melting Pot is a restaurant like no other and it is one that you cannot go to if you are in a rush. My wife and I have been here multiple times and it always takes longer than planned. That is because we enjoy the atmosphere so much and being able to take your time and cook your own food as you are ready! The seasonings and sauces provided are always delicious and being able to cook your own food allows you to cook things as rare or as well as you prefer. The Knob Creek Old Fashioned's are on point as well and highly recommended! We were also able to make our entire meal Gluten Free which is a new development for my wife. We will return again!

My soon to be daughter in law surprised my son with a date, including close friends & myself. We had a secluded room for our party that included roses & rose petals across the table. The food & service were amazing! Plan on being there a while. The experience is well worth it!

Evelyn was our AMAZING server and she was wonderful. She really knew her stuff and was very courteous. Our entire meal was perfect! We will definitely be back to the Castleton location.

What a fabulous experience! My first time here and definitely will be returning! Food was SO good, and our server, Madison, was so informative and attentive!! Manager Rob was so personable too. Thanks for a great evening.

We had a very nice anniversary celebration here. The waitress was great and kept up on drinks and "extras" for dipping. She made our celebration dinner very special.

Madison was the most patient and graceful server we've had in a long time. We have 3 wonderful yet spirited children who adored their time at the Melting Pot. The excellent food and most gracious service gave us a wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back!

Madison is such a fantastic representative for Melting Pot. What a smile!!! Took time with us and made the night special. We brought our daughter and her friends for her Bday dinner. She was great with them.

Karen was a PERFECT waitress! I loved having her as our waitress. She did a great job! Then Rob came around and checked to make sure we were doing great. It was so nice.

This was the first time most of our party had been here. The waitress was helpful in explaining how to order. The experience was fun and food was great!

Dinner at 430 in afternoon on a Sunday, so relatively light crowd. Had only salad and main course. 45 minutes for salads to arrive. Another long wait for actual meal. Total meal time 2 hours for salad and entree. Only one offer for a drink refill during that 2 hours. Meal missing an item specified on menu and server explained kitchen messed up and offered no apology or compensation for missing item. After indicating we couldn't have dessert because we ran out of time, it took an additional 15 minutes to settle bill. No apology was given over meal items specified on menu not provided nor an apology for length of meal. I can appreciate a server being overloaded with tables but this was not communicated to be the case. Manager appeared to come out and offer assistance to tables around us with getting their drinks refilled and explaining menu and what they recommend, but never once came to our table. I have no issues with food only with server response time and management's lack of intervention over our wait time we experienced. It's no joke that when the check was left for us to sign the server dropped it on table and said "thanks, have a good night" & literally ran around corner away from our table. Trust me, my family and I rarely complain but this was a little much to take. If you choose to go here, you may want to ensure you have tons of time to spare. I can't fathom what our dining time would've been if we'd gone with 4 course experience.

Unique, romantic, and delish! Every bite is amazing! Our server was very attentive and great! We know exactly what we want when we come here. The timing on the start to transition in meals was perfectly timed. She received 2 more tables with newbies and started getting busy but remained on schedule. I say newbies because people have to understand that if you are new and come here, the server has to take a good 5-10 minutes just to explain the menu and safety on the food. That can sometimes delay the timing on arrival to table which we take into consideration. We come here on bdays, date nights, Valentines, and anniversaries and my hubby and I love it! We come here expecting a 2 hr dining experience which is very romantic. We have been together for 15 yrs and we feel like we are back in the days dating again when we first met everytime we come here . He opens my door and makes me feel special when we come here. Now my hubby is adding it to his bday list which is awesome for me! I see other reviews on people not happy waiting but when you come here, it is not your normal dine and go, it needs to be expected to set some "extra time" aside. We always order a bottle of wine along with the the 4 course meal and select the Borgon...style. My husband selected the 4 hands Cab and it was a great choice! We can sit back and enjoy our glasses until our app arrives. We both love the spin & art but this time we tried green goddess cheese and wow so delish also! We both love the California salad with candied nuts (We tried the others and this is the best). My husband orders land and sea (filet, shrimp, chix) while I always order 3stks. We can then share which I love. Towards the end the amazing chocolate that we can never finish because we are so full and satisfied! We are willing to pay more to dine here because the experience. I am a part of fondue club and get the emails for the free choc strawberries for my bday and they are ginormous and amazing! I was able to take them home at end of meal. I can't say enough about how happy we are when we come here!! TY!

Stephanie was a wonderful server. Food was spectacular with a high five to the new addons. Only one issue was that the people next to us broght their 5 year old. Do not bring your child to a place that takes 2 hrs to eat. You annoid us!

Fun place to go. Atmosphere was unique. The food was outstanding. Be prepared to stay 1 1/2 - 2 hours for a 4 course meal, but it goes fast.

We came for my friends birthday lunch and the Devour Indy event. We had the 4 course meal and everything was really good. Our waitress, Sharon, was really on top of everything we needed. I still feel like it was a little pricey but worth it for special occasions.

Every year my wife and try to take her mom to a restaurant she’s never been before and it always occurs during Devour Indy. This year it was the melting pot. The food was great and the service was superior. It may seem like you wait for a bit between courses for service, but I think it’s because the Melting Pot is more than just dinner it’s an experience. Perfect for those times you just want to hang out like we did. My wife’s mom was over the moon happy and we really enjoyed our food. Personally I really enjoyed the combo of Cajun Rub chicken, filet, shrimp and andouille sausage in the mojo broth. Went down like butter. Fantastic service and ambience. Along with our food. We will be back

POS went out on Friday evening and was instructed by server meal would be comped after ordering due to a POS issue.’ Towards the end of the meal, informed everything was working and we’d be charged full price. My issue isn’t paying - it’s telling a customer(s) you’re comping food only to recant. It’s unprofessional and sends a horrible message to your customers. I never leave negative feedback on a restaurant as things happen ... but this was appalling.

I will never eat here again. My wife made reservations a couple of moths ago for our family to have valentines dinner here. They never once told here there was no sharing. Once we were seated for dinner with drinks and appetizers they finally mentioned that we couldn’t share a meal and we had to buy each of our kids a meal too. Of course we could have gotten up and left but that would have resulted in my families valentines dinner being ruined. Plus we would have had to wait for a table at a different place for hours. One of my most expensive meals ever. Never again!!

The best spinach artichoke dip I've ever tasted and we try it every where we go. I love the private-semi private tables for 2. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, all around best dinning experience ever.

First time there we will be back I surprised my wife for our Anniversary she loved it just as much as I did. The food the server the whole atmosphere was just great we had a wonderful time

I always leave here happy and full! The best 2 hrs of my day is spent eating fondue! Highly recommend the lovers lane seating if available
