Review Ocean Prime - Indianapolis

Amazing experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and daughter's 18th birthday. We were greeted by the hostess, and sat at a beautiful table decorated with rose petals and a long stemmed rose. Our waiter was very attentive. The oysters were very good, we tried both east and west coast. The calamari was the only dish I wasn't crazy about. The flavor was good, but it was a bit mushy and not crisp. Probably from the veggie topping. The desserts were also very good. We did not feel rushed. Manager checked in to make sure everything was good. It was everything I hoped it would be. We will be back again.

Best restaurant in Indiana I have ever been to! Yes the food is amazing, appetizers, sushi, steak and dessert were all perfect and to die for. However it was the service and staff that made this SO amazing! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary and 5 different staff members said happy anniversary to us that were not even our waiters. They are super attentive and on top of everything! Tammi is amazing and the entire staff was just exceptional! Perfect perfect perfect!

Went here with my husband for our anniversary and everything about it was perfect. The food was outstanding, the service was great, and atmosphere was cozy and romantic. You pay a pretty penny for everything but it's absolutely worth it! The drinks were yummy too! We will be going back!

Came here with my grandparents for my 16th birthday. First time, they had been before. I think it was awesome the staff were extremely nice and made really good sweet tea just for me! I’d recommend this place to seafood lovers looking for a more fancy option of dining. Sushi is also amazing.

The food was alright. The lobster linguini came out overcooked, so we sent it back. They gave us a free shrimp cocktail, and the second iteration of linguini was good. Filet mignon was slightly overcooked for medium rare, but great otherwise. Our server Sarah was incredible. She had great insight into the food. The atmosphere was great as well.

From our welcome at the door upon entry to the thank you on our way out the door, plus everything in between was way wonderful! Service was on spot. Food was beautiful and delicious. The Berries and Bubbles cocktail was one of the best balanced cocktails I believe I have had as far as restaurant specialty drinks. It was not too dry, not too sweet, not too strong and not too weak. Perfection! The Surf and Turf appetizer, Braised Short Ribs and scallops were delightfully flavorful and I highly recommend. My husband got the sea bass and I got lobster tails, plus we both shared the jalapeno augratin potatoes. The potatoes do have a little zing but not overbearing. Both were decent portions and simply delicious. We opted out of desserts; not because they didn't look and sound decedent, but just because we try to skip the extra sugar. I am sure we will return soon as we really enjoyed everything about our evening out at Ocean Prime!

I came here for my birthday and everything was GREAT! Christian was kind and attentive, the customer service was excellent. The food was AMAZING, so was the atmosphere. I was a little sad my takeout was accidentally thrown out, otherwise an overall great experience.

Went for my wife's birthday. Everything was perfect!! Calamari is the best around and the whole lobster Mac and Cheese was amazing!! Wife had grouper and loved it!! Nick was awesome!!

Welcoming, warm, friendly, and make you feel at home. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. It's always a great experience when you have one great encounter, but when you have three or four it is memorable. Cannot be more appreciative of Dakota and Evelyn behind the bar, and Blake our server. Great suggestions, friendly conversation, and top notch service. Favorite thing was by far the Spicy Tuna roll, recommended by Blake. I apologize for not getting a picture, but this is a must try dish. I also had the Florida Grouper. Fish was fresh, no fishy taste at all (hard to do in Indiana), and was cooked perfectly. Light and flaky. The unsung hero though was the gnocchi. Subtle, pillowy, and soaks up all the flavor into a tiny little flavor bomb. I didn't care for the addition of the peas, and wasn't all that excited about the lobster. I think the peas took away from the flavor and the lobster was just there. I also felt like it was missing something. For my flavors, I think I would have preferred it over some light greens instead of the soupy broth. The broth was fantastic though, full of flavor. My wife got a 10 oz filet, and the temp was spot on. Maybe a tad more seasoning and would have been perfect. We also shared sides of mashed potatoes and upon Blake's recommendations the corn. Corn was my second favorite dish of the night. Perfect crisp bite of the kernel, and the seasoning and flavor were perfect. Mashed potatoes were silky and smooth, with deliciously crisp roasted garlic chips. My wife wasn't a huge fan of them like I was, and that was largely due to their bitterness which I loved. Overall, we had a great experience. Great recommendations, really good food, and a friendly staff starting in the front, all the way to the bar, and at the table. Lastly, just a beautiful restaurant as well.

Went for Devour and it was a fantastic experience. Our server Kimmy was amazing! The food and atmosphere were spot on. I had the scallops and my friend had the snapper. Both were to die for. The mango sorbet took me back to my childhood. Don’t miss the old fashioned. Will definitely be back.

Celebrating our Anniversary with our Son's this past weekend. Erick did an amazing job , TJ was extremely attentive and helpful. The managers stopped by a few times to be sure we were all happy with our experience and service. Seafood was very good and cocktails were great! Fun place for a celebration dinner.

We were a party of 10 tonight [Friday]. The restaurant was beautiful and service was impeccable. Our waitress was great. The food for the most part was very good except the oysters Rockefeller it looked like maybe someone had dropped an oyster in the salt on the plate and just sent it out anyway. One filet mw had to be returned twice to get right and the waitress did remove it from the check. The tuna sushi smelled very fishy. All other things were ordered were excellent. I would make one big suggestion. It might be advantagize if you had two or three specials that included a salad and some sides included. You price structure is very high. If customers knew that the could come back and get an entre that had a soup or salad with a side they would feel more comfortable coming back mid week or more often. Revised great as always. Drove done a hour for dinner and it did not disappoint. Everything was excellent and CJ was awesome. Revised Very Good. We love trying new places. We drove little over hour to try here. Well worth the drive and we will be back. Anna F was amazing. If you come ask for her she will take great care of you.

Came here for our anniversary date and we were not let down! Very good service, food, and drinks. They even made the night special with rose pedals on the table. I highly recommend the sushi

My daughter had her birthday dinner at Ocean Prime, the staff was truly amazing and patient dealing with teens who needed extra attention. The food was amazing as well. Best kids menu I’ve ever seen

Went to dinner for a retirement celebration and had a wonderful time. I can't speak highly enough about our server Maddie. She was wonderful and took care of us all night! The food was all very good. I did feel like the risotto that was served with the scallops was slightly undercooked but that was just a minor complaint. This isn't our everyday weekend style resataraunt but it's a great atmosphere for special occasions and we will return.

The food and the service were phenomenal! Took off one star for atmosphere because we sat in the covered patio area on a warm-ish day in December, and the space heaters were on so it was unbearably hot. Other than that, this is a MUST if you’re looking for fine dining in Indianapolis.

It was a great meal! Everything was fantastic! My tuna was delicious! Our server was on top of our party of 9 and everything was correct and came out in a timely manner. Desserts were so good, but I was extremely full and could only eat half of my peanut butter pie!

This place is exceptional every time I have been. The service is always fabulous and the food is wonderful. This particular trip we had the calamari appetizer, goat cheese ravioli, Wagyu filet, smoking seafood tower, and warm butter cake for dessert. Also, the Moscow mule and berries and bubbly drinks are amazing.
