The Staff are courteous. They didn't give me any gruff over Hank either. Service Dogs are treated with respect here. The Chef will even come ask you questions about your dietary needs for what you order.
I got the Mooshu Pork. Absolutely a wonderful treat!!! It's very old inside. The building itself is from the early 1800's from what I was told. It has a 70s type look to it inside. They have a Lunch and Dinner Buffet as well as a menu to select from. I'm glad I came in.
I love this place. It has a very relaxing and calming vibe. Good and quiet. Service is great and the flavors are more varied than some of the other places though the selection is a little smaller. They get busy on Friday and because it's just a mom and pop sort of place they may run low on food when really packed. They're often great at picking up the pace however. All in all. Any minor negatives are easily outweighed by the good service, prices, and food. I eat here as often as I can.
The couple who runs New China are very friendly everytime we go in. They also deliver in a timely manner. "gotta love delivery" The food is nearly always fresh on the buffet, but with all buffets, some items don't hold well. Ordering off the menu is always fresh and never disappointing. Oh yes, of course, the food is flavorful and the portions generous. We eat buffet, order off the menu and occasionally get delivery. I love the food and the people. Priced right too.
The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I have had better. BUT I did like the food. I ended up getting the buffet to go. You got more for your money and they had a few things what I wanted to order. The eggs rolls were good! The beef and broccoli I wasn't impressed with... I ate the broccoli but skipped the beef and the General Chicken was REALLY good. The fried rice was okay. And the Lo Mein was great!
I should add that I am currently pregnant and a picky eater right now. I do plan on eating here again.
SO MUCH FOOD. I keep getting fried rice to go, and I get a whole leftover box FULL. Seriously, it's a real challenge to eat it all at once. Prices are low, which I really like. It's not especially flavorful, but it's tasty and just what you expect. Definitely my choice for Chinese around here.
