The Town Baker

This is a perfect little place to go for breakfast, make sure you get up early to line up outside when it opens. The pecan roll was as big as my face and every part was delicious, moist, buttery, crunchy sweetness! We also had the feta and spinach quiche cup, and the turkey Swiss mushroom spinach pastry and both were delectable. Prices were fantastic, coffee was really good, my partner said he hadn't had an expresso that good in years! They have an accessible ramp entrance, a back patio and garden with spread out distanced seating. Service was quick and friendly. If you're in town I recommend The Town Baker.

I loved this little bakery. They had a great selection of baked good and everything I tried was delicious. I enjoyed the coffee as well. The outside patio was so serene. This bakery was the highlight of my trip. It's the simple things that bring me joy. :) If I come back to Idyllwild to visit, I will surely be coming back to this bakery.

The baked good that I purchased were very tasty. Loved the blueberry muffin and spinach/feta puff pastry. The peanut butter cookie was excellent (even 1 day old, as I forgot to eat it on the day I bought it). The drip coffee was almost undrinkable, though. Tasted burned. On the upside, a friendly staff keeps the line moving and people COVID-safe. Only 1 party inside at a time-nice!

Always yummy baked offerings whether you are a fan of rolls...scones...muffins...quiches...omelets or quesadillas. Nothing quite like savoring your perfect breakfast and sipping your delicious coffee outdoors in the "back yard" gazing at the surrounding peaks. And speaking of coffee...my poison is the 4 shots of espresso topped with a bit of dark roast... Service is always topnotch...this past weekend I arrived 15 minutes before opening and they came to invite me in. Always a destination when I am in Idyllwild.
