The best fried chicken I have ever eaten!!! I started coming here when I was attending and working at GWC always got the lunch special. Living in Riverside I still make trips out here just to eat their wonderful food. Not to mention the owners always remember me and they forget my name but remember I'm from Riverside, lol so whenever I come they yell Riverside!!!! ��� this older couple is so cute!!! Love them. Highly recommend checking them out and getting a few chicken pieces.
I've been going here for as long as I can remember and I always get the exact same thing. It's never let me down and neither have they! Now I get to bring my daughter and watch her enjoy their sandwiches as much as I always have! 💕

Staff was friendly and helpful. He suggested I try the club. Lightly toasted sourdough perfect portion of ham to turkey, crispy bacon, shredded lettuce little heavy with the mayo. Overall really good sandwich. I will be revisiting whenever I'm in the area...

The decor inside is a little dated, but who cares as you still feel very welcome and comfortable.
I had their popular Huckleberry Club which is a layered sandwich with Ham, Turkey, American Cheese, Onions, Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes, Crispy Good Quality Bacon, Pepperoncinis, Pickles, and a little bit of Mayo on Grilled Sour Dough. All ingredients were fresh and wonderful tasting sporting various textures that proved fun. The portions on each ingredient were perfect as well so as not to leave the patron wondering ..."that's it?" Each bite left me craving more and left me a little sad when I finally finished my sandwich.
They also serve Teriyaki and Broasted/Fried Chicken here, but I cannot comment on those as I have not had those.
There is plenty of parking in their strip mall lot.
Seating comes in the form of regular tables, but no booths.
AH-MAZING CHICKEN!!. Our family favorite is their Broasted chicken. Nice and crispy on the outside & steamy hot . The potato wedges are cooked to perfection, tender and moist & flavorful. Coleslaw is homemade and delish. There are no places in OC that I know of that makes chicken like this. Everything is fresh. And the owners are the most friendly, sweet people you would ever meet. They greet you as you walk in with a huge welcoming smile and if you are a regular (like us) they remember your name and any personal details you've ever mentioned to them. You should know that it takes 20 minutes for them to prepare an order of Broasted chicken, because it is cooked fresh. So be sure to call ahead. Let me tell you it is worth it, your mouth and tummy will be very happy!
By FAR TOP 3 sandwich Shops in OC!! I come from North O.C. to this beach area Hidden Gem as often as i can... Definitely a spot ppl should visit potato salad, sandwiches r Great here! Come check it out if ur looking for a great spot.
The Greatest. I have been eating combo sandwiches at Huckleberrys since 1977, yes 31 years. There is no place in Orange County that makes a sandwich better. I started eating there when I hired into the phone company across the street and although I have now retired from the company I still frequent Huckleberrys. Through new owners and new menu additions the quality I tasted in that first sandwich is there today! You can count on Huckleberrys for great food!
We live in Garden Grove, but every time we're in the area, we stop by and pick up some Broasted Chicken. It's the best!! SO crispy on the outside and unbelievably juicy on the inside and the seasoning is so fantastic!
The service is always wonderful and the gentleman whose always working the counter is a real sweetheart and always smiling!

My first time and the broasted chicken was absolutely delicious! I’m usually very thirsty after eating fried chicken but not at all thirsty after eating their amazing chicken. The potatoes were great too and I will definitely go back there soon!

Huckleberry's famous fried chicken is a local favorite here in Huntington Beach. It's also my favorite place to get fried chicken hands down!

The owners are truly good hardworking people who take pride in the preparation of their food.
With a steady stream of regular customers, I recommend calling in your order ..as they do not rush the process of making there delicious fried chicken. I never mind the wait, because I know the end result will be worth it.
Again nothing fancy just some of the best fried chicken you'll eat.
Of course they have lots of other goodies on the menu...but the fried chicken is the cornerstone here. That being said they also serve sandwiches, which are also a local favorite.
No one complains here..it's all good.
if you're getting it to go, Carol the owner Will leave the lid on the container a little open on purpose...she told me to leave it that way...once I didn't listen and the chicken was a little softer. So listen to Carol to truly enjoy their delicious fried chicken.

I’ve been a customer for years and they have a great selection with something for everyone. I used to order the broasted chicken because I like crunchy foods and it feels like you’re eating fried chicken but a somewhat healthier, less salty and greasy version (and because it’s not breaded it doesn’t spike your sugar). The broasted chicken is very good. I’ve been a customer for so long I remember when their potato salad was more of a Korean style and it’s not as good as it used to be but still fine.
Recently I ordered a sandwich and though I usually make my own so it’s healthier, the sandwich from here was delicious, fresh and brimming with ingredients. My partner has tried almost all of the cold sandwiches and he says they’re all tasty. I don’t come here often but if I’m going to eat a takeout sandwich I’ll get it from here.
Another thing I like about this restaurant is how consistent they are (except for the potato salad.. please bring the old version back). A lot of restaurants these days are inconsistent and I have to guess if it’ll be a good or bad day when I visit (and if it’s an off day or they change the recipe without telling me I waste money on something I don’t want) but that’s not the case here.
The owners, especially Carol, are just wonderful. I’m sure running a popular restaurant is exhausting and hard but she’s always so kind. I’m the type of customer where even if your food is great I’ll stay away if the owners are unpleasant. It’s always nice to see her and support this business.

I started coming here when Covid first hit and still find myself craving their cashew chicken sandwich. Super fresh and a much healthier option than the other sandwich franchises around. These days I’ve branched out to their broasted chicken and it was so worth it! Just know that if you order the broasted chicken, it takes about 15 minutes. :)
The Best Chicken in O.C. hands down. If your looking for simple great, juicy, flavorful chicken without the over the board hip cliche trends.This is the spot! O.C. best kept secret. The chicken is broasted meaning less fat and more healthier than regular deep fried chicken. You will for sure crave more! I highly recommend getting one of the Family Meals with broaster potatoes and a side choice. Make sure you get Cajun flavoring and lots of Ranch. Trust me you will not be dissapointed. This does not compare to KFC or Popeyes. The owners are really nice and take pride in their service. 👍🏽🙂
I LOVE their chicken breast sandwiches. I’ve been ordering them since i was in high school over 30 years ago. It’s the only thing I’ve ever ordered. They are delicious.
