Copper Dock Restaurant

My husband, son and I all decided to enjoy a nice Sunday dinner at The Copper Dock after a year of not really eating out. From the moment we walked in we felt very welcomed, almost like family. The hostess (owner maybe?) stated that we had come just in time to see the deer walking by. Our family being huge nature lovers were thrilled to see 10 deer walking across the lake, it was absolutely beautiful. Because of Covid our waitress was wearing a mask but she had the ability to smile with her eyes making us feel very welcomed. I wonder if she practices in a mirror. The food was spectacular. Husband had the prime rib, he said it was perfectly done and very flavorful. I had the chicken salad. I did ask the waitress (wish I could remember her name) if they could add jalapeños to it and was told they probably didn’t have them but she would ask the cook. Don’t you know my salad came out with jalapeños. It wouldn’t surprise me if the waitress or cook got in their car and ran to the nearest grocery store to pick some up. The busboy was so very attentive, our water never did get below the halfway mark on our lasses I know this review may be a bit long but I can’t say enough good things about staff and food. This restaurant is a must if you are in the area or even if you’re not. I know we will be going more frequently. See you guys again soon.

Went to copper dock this past Friday for a fish fry. Decided to get something else besides a fish fry because the price went up on it $15.95 and but decided to get the seafood casserole $29.95 which was supposed to have Shrimp, scallops, lobster and fish with a creamy parmesan sauce. Turned out to be a very watery sauce imitation lobster, 2 shrimp and 2 scallops. My girlfriend got the sword fish special which was cold in the middle when she got it. they took it back and put the plate in the oven to warm it up and brought back out which dried out the swordfish. I must say that the clam chowder is still excellent there. The ambience is still excellent and charming . I was just very disappointed this time. I have been there in the past and it has always been very good.

Four of us had dinner at Copper Dock on Saturday, August 15. It was crowed -with adequate social distancing. All wait staff wore masks as well as the hostess. Copper Dock is one of two restaurants I have been to since May. I always feel it is the safest environment because i know they have strived to provide a clean and safe venue. The owners, Heather and Tim, along with their staff consistently demonstrate excellent customer service. And the FOOD IS GREAT!
