Fantastic Steakhouse! Great selection of wine and spirits. The ambiance was perfect and the food was terrific. I took my meal at the bar which is what I prefer when I eat alone. Jen had the perfect amount of sass and conversation while being on top of the perfect service I received. Also had a nice conversation with Debbie. The entire experience made me feel very comfortable and at home. Highly recommend!

There was very good and very bad with this experience. I’ll start with the good, even though most people want to hear the bad first. The restaurant interior is very beautiful and homey. Gorgeous bar and a really nice fire place....besides the two cheetah pattern covered chairs next to the fire place that through me for a loop lol I ordered a bourbon Manhattan and it was great. For appetizers we ordered the meatballs and the cheese curds, both fantastic. Service was great as well throughout the whole night. Now the bad. 3 of our foursome got steak. All over or under cooked and not much flavor. I could have easily made the same if not better at home. Not the worst steak I’ve had but have had much much better and it was disappointing as our server talked very highly of the steak before ordering. The last member of our group ordered the crab pasta that was a special menu item. Not to sound too harsh, but she honestly couldn’t have been more disgusted. Found many bones throughout her dish and she described it as tasting like chemicals with a pungent crab/seafood smell. Barely any sauce. Just really disappointing. But we didn’t let that ruin our night. Many laughs were had. I really hope the kitchen improves because this is a really beautiful spot.

We dined here last Saturday night for my sister's birthday. Out of 4 dinners 2 were good. Lasagna was the worst. My husband expected lots of sauce layered with cheese and noodles and some meat. It was a dry meatloaf style with very little sauce. His favorite is North Lake Inn and will go back there next time. Not worth complaining to ruin a celebration and wait for another dish to be made. Must just be their style. No thanks. Also my prime rib was very thin with lots of fat. No where near the beautiful thick and less fat piece my sister received. Also did not complain due to the night. I always order medium rare and was told that may not be available. We had 5pm reservations???Lastly my sister and I wanted blue cheese dressing. We were offered blue cheese crumbles only. No creamy base. (Sour cream Roquefort is usually offered at supper clubs). We both asked for sour cream and the waiter said he'd check if that was available??? We did get 2 small plastic containers. We live right up the road and haven't been here in years. Beautiful inside and maybe other dishes are good. Sorry.

Yikes! Not the place to go during a pandemic! Johnny manhattan’s likes to claim they are following guidelines, but I would stay far away. They are claiming medical conditions for all staff (waiters, kitchen staff, hostesses, etc.). The only staff member with a mask on was the bartender. If you want to stop the spread in Wisconsin, this is not the restaurant to experience safe protocols. There are plenty of restaurants in the area keeping staff members and customers safe - choose elsewhere! Food is unreal, I wish the management philosophy would match.

This is a MUST for anyone who enjoys a beautiful atmosphere with no stuffiness. Everyone was so nice, welcoming, and accomodating. Truly a wonderful customer service experience. I don't say that very often. Thank you to our bartender Jen, Troy and Brooke who greeted us and made us feel so welcome, Michaela for the great table side service, Deb and Nancy for being so personable, and the chef James for the excellent food. It is worth every minute traveling outside of Milwaukee. Im making this a regular experience.

Stopped for a glass of wine, and something to eat. Wine was good, and had the salmon plate, which was delicious. Also had the Godiva cheesecake, that melted in your mouth. Had no reservation, but today couple tables were available. Did not wait long. Great gentleman waited on us, sorry I did not get his name.
