Hungry Howie's Pizza

Their pizza is great and wait time is minimal. However, ordering by phone is less than pleasant. They recently went to an outside call center (vs in store.) The order takers have a foreign accent and speak very fast. One cannot understand them. We have to ask them to repeat themselves many times. Very frustrating. Suggestion: Give up the call center. It's not doing your brand any good.

Well if I order food from here I suggest it be fresh. I ordered two pizzas and howie bread and I use to work at hungry howies when covid first took off I know what fresh pizza and bread looks like and my pizza was over cooked and hard as a rock and the howie bread was old from this early afternoon. How do I know that well like I said I use to work there and know what it looks like and tasted like. I will not be coming back here again. The only reason you’re getting 2 stars is because my son ate a his pizza.

Very decent Pizza, but they are more skimpy on the items than most of the Pizza Outlets in the same area. They seem to be more skimpy on certain items than others, though...for example, they usually put enough Pepperoni on, but not at all when you order Beef (hamburger), which is my favorite item on a Pizza!

We ordered from the Howell, MI location a few times and keep getting bad results. Tonight was no different. My girlfriend asked what size I ordered because it didn’t look like a large. We ordered a large pan pizza which is advertised as a 14” x 10”. But the size is actually 13” x “9”. The pizza was also burnt, The mushrooms looked very dark and burnt. However the flash on the camera washes out the burnt edges and mushrooms. Oddly, the pepperoni, cheese, and bottom didn’t look burnt but normal. But you could really taste the burnt flavor and it overpowered the rest of the pizza. Maybe smoke? Also they didn’t do a very good job spreading out the toppings. Being this seems to be a ongoing these at this location, hopefully this serves to be a wakeup call and they improve things.

Ive come to this location 100s of times over 30+ years. With a heavy heart i have to give a one star review. Im not sure if its the labor shortage or just poor management but the quality of the food has gone down drastically over the last 6 months. Theres also been a problem with 5 of my last 6 orders. Fingers crossed they slove what ever problems there facing so i can continue saying they have the best pizza in town
