China Best

Disappointed first time customer. The shrimp fried rice was burnt. The 18 dollar shrimp and scallop dish had a garlic sauce that looked and tasted like the water the seafood was boiled in. The honey chicken, although a generous portion, had breading that tasted like it was submerged in an overly reused oil. I gave it 2 stars because the egg drop soup and happy family meal were very good. Not pleased for the amount of money spent at China's Best in Howell, Michigan

We were fairly happy with our experience here. The location of this place in the Kroger Strip Plaza on MI-59 made it easy to find. The facility is cozy and well kept. It was not clear whether their dining room was open, but my intention was to take ours away. I placed my order on-line and did not have to wait long to pick up my food after arrival. The staff was efficient and friendly. We tried the Beef with Snow Peas and the Kung Po Chicken. Both were good. I expected the chicken to have a bit more kick, but it was tasty, nonetheless. We also tried the Spring Rolls, which were nice and crispy, but perhaps not filled as much as we would have liked. Our final bill for the food with a small tip was $26. At $13 per person, it was a good deal. This is especially so considering that the portions were huge, and we had enough leftovers for two additional meals. We'll likely try this place again.
