My friends and I had an exceptional dining experience at Thai Cafe last night, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we stepped in, the beautiful ambiance and welcoming staff set the tone for a remarkable evening. The restaurant not only showcased a gorgeous and inviting atmosphere but also an extensive menu of authentic Thai cuisine. Each dish (and appetizer!) we ordered was a culinary masterpiece bursting with vibrant flavors and exquisite presentation. The Pad Thai was a definite highlight, my favorite of the night. What truly stood out was the impeccable service we received. The staff went above and beyond, catering to our every need with attentiveness and genuine hospitality. They were knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating to dietary preferences, and offered insightful recommendations. Our time at Thai Cafe was nothing short of fantastic. It was a delightful culinary journey. I cannot wait to return as soon as possible. Contented smiles, full bellies, and memories of an evening filled with excellent food and impeccable service. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly exceptional Thai dining experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Under new management came with a fresh new decor. Set in a historic downtown building. Most tenants are attorneys. All dishes authentically prepared. I ordered the most popular dish, salmon bowl, according to manager Dan. Very flavorful & great presentation! Will be back for dinner soon. Great date night spot!

Amazing place, the food was incredible and big portions. The ambiance is very nice, maybe go when it's darker as I feel like it would be very nice for a intimate vibe. Staff incredible, and price was worth it. A little pricy but good.

GREAT spot for delicious Thai food and beverages, wonderful service, and awesome atmosphere. One of my favorite things is that their protein options include SCALLOPS, which are fantastic in a curry and rarely offered in my experience. The lunch special includes a yummy salad, egg roll, and a REALLY good soup that is a must try! Highly suggest any of their curries and dining in provides a really lovely ambiance. If you’re near downtown Houston, highly recommend you give Thai Cafe a try!! ♥️

Not just the atmosphere which was very refreshing, the food was fabulous. Had ordered pad thai with tofu and fried rice. Both were superb. Rice was not as good as pad thai but was better than what I tried earlier. One star less just for the quantity as for the price, the quantity was very very less. $17 for a small quantity of fried rice seems way overpriced to me.

A great choice if you're in the Downtown Houston area and wanting Thai. The menu had a wide variety of food and a good selection of drinks. Service was great as the waiter recommended a few of his house specials and was very nice. Thai Cafe had a good selection of appetizers, we ordered the cheese puffs but would've liked for them to be crispier. The egg rolls and the chicken gyoza were amazing. The tofu pad kee mao was perfectly cooked-the glass noodles were amazing and I loved the way the tofu was prepared. The orange chicken was accompanied with white rice. The chicken was moist and delicious and the orange sauce tasted authentic and fresh. The atmosphere was peaceful and lovely but the random Santa Claus figures threw us off since they were oddly placed in the middle of summer on the back wall. Looking forward to dining here again!

I would recommend this place if you are looking for good thai food in downtown Houston. The server was friendly, food came out quick. I recommend the cheese puffs, very light and delicious. $22 for a small bowl of beef curry seemed a little on the expensive side but the flavors were there. The cafe is small and has a cozy elegant feel to it, yet very casual and welcoming.

Delicious! Great selection of authentic Thai food. The pineapple fried rice with tofu was amazing! As was the Scallop Pad Kee Mao. And the tasteful decor is super classy. The tables, floors, silverware and entire premises are all spotless. Loved the Thai tea too. Prices are very reasonable in light of such high quality food; excellent service; and a comfortable, smooth, mellow atmosphere. No alcohol served, but plenty of solid reasons to check out this restaurant!

Solid spot for Thai food. The coffee was very good. It’s incredible how milk changes the taste. For a full experience, be sure to try it without milk first and slowly add the milk if you decide you want. The food dishes were very tasty and I was fully satisfied. Enjoyed the quick lunch and will come back here for takeout /if in the neighborhood in the future.
