Great Spot by Hobby Airport
Crawfish check, Oysters check... This is a great place with great food. Be patient with the initial service, but once they find you they are on point! Get some crawfish and some oysters get a beer and enjoy.
Good oysters at a good price
Was not interested in driving 10 miles in pouring rain, so I looked around the hotel and found this place. Really good oysters at the end of June says volumes about how they are supplied. Excellent waiter and quick service. Fried onion strings were great. Only thing wrong with the fried oysters is there could have been more. But then, I did leave food on the plate which is unusual. I may go back tonight and have a dozen oysters for dessert after my scheduled business dinner. Place is now on my "go to" list.
A few friends and I stopped in for dinner. My friends had crawfish, shrimp and I went all in with the mixed seafood boil. It was snow crab, one blue crab, shrimp, and crawfish. The place was packed so I was excited to dig right in. At first, the taste was sort of sweet and not as spicy as I would have wanted, I continued to eat and the taste got a lot better. The price is a little high but I think that is worth it.
This place is great. I love the shrimp and the crawfish.♡ I go there at least once a month. The staff is super friendly and fast! Perfect restaurant !
Great oyster tacos and po boys! The pot's special fried rice is also delicious! Have only been twice but will go back for sure. Good service as well.
Went twice in March and the oysters have been excellent, and the lemon pepper and house crawfish are extremely delicious.
Let me start by saying we went here for our anniversary in October, so well after crawfish season. But man, they did not disappoint! Everything we had was delicious, and the service was wonderful. Kami was friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable overall.
I just flew into town and checked in to my hotel. I found The Crawfish Pot doing a search around Houston Hobby Airport. It was a 5 minute walk from Springhill Suites.
This place is spot on. Local great Cajun flare with amazing staff. Sat at the bar and was greeted by Barbara.
I had the gumbo for lunch and the house beer Crawford Bock. I recommend both.
During my time there, Barbara asked if I ever had crawfish, being from Ohio I never had.
Barbara asked if I wanted a sample and if I wanted a crash course how to eat them. It was so cool of her to do this. It was fun, messy (gloves provided), delicious and I am thankful for her spending a few moments to provide OUTSTANDING customer service.
A very affordable lunch/dinner option.
Cheers to her, the cooks and Crawfish Pot for a great lunch.

Let me start by saying the food was great and very resonably priced and our server was amazing. However, I could tell the staff was overwhelmed by the number of people that they had, including the 10 minute wait at the door. There were only 3 people out on the floor the entire time I was there. Although they did great, I hate to see them stretch themselves such, even the counter worker was leaving the front to help run food to the tables. Because of this, the service was pretty slow, but I understood that they were short-handed. If they were appropriatly staffed, this would have 5stars. I will be returning eventually, hopefully with and edit to add to this post.
Wow this place was packed on a Thursday night. We put our names down and went to crab some milk tea in the same complex to wait. The we got crawfish & shrimp. Shrimp are huge! Crawfish was fresh and good sizes too. Oysters weren't bad either, clean and good size.
We got hot and extra hot, house special sauce and we liked the extra hot better. It's actually not that spicy (for us). Very good flavor overall.
Bathroom was clean. And the shared sink area outside bathrooms for washing hands is great.
My favorite place to eat in Houston as a seafood lover! Their oysters are delicious. And I always get the special house flavor on my crab legs crawfish and shrimp! I LOVE their turkeyneck soup with steamed rice on the side as well. It is a MUST!
There was a long wait, but it was worth it. The food was amazing and so was the service. It was a little warm, though, but it was summer and the place was packed. Definitely will return.
We live in the Midwest, this is the 3rd time visiting here, every time the food is amazing. You gotta try this place out.
We were a party of 3. Our family had boiled crawfish. 2 adults had 3 lbs/ea & 1 child had 2 lbs all orders had corn and potatoes. The adults chose Hot w/House Sauce, and it was so delicious! Our daughter had Medium w Lemon Pepper sauce, and she loved it. This was the 1st time trying out The Crawfish Pot, we are traveling from out of town, searched on Google, and liked the reviews. You should definitely stop by and try it early because we hear the wait times get long and food does finish sometimes. Highly recommended!
I ordered my shrimp and fish to go. The food was extremely hot and fresh but my fish was soggy. I went back inside to request a crispy fish and the supervisor Samantha greeted me right away with a warm smile to address my concern. Lam, the (manager on duty)came from the kitchen to also assist! In all of my years of dinning out, I have never experienced this “A” level of customer service!! Both in charge were extremely polite and apologetic for my inconvenience. This is sooo unheard of these days. I already loved the food and service here, but this has become my absolute favorite seafood place to dine in houston! 💙
