Fantastic food, service and restaurant! We got tired of waiting for a spot at a nearby restaurant tried this one out. We are definitely coming back! The place looks new and is very clean, it's current high reviews are spot on! If you are looking for recommendations, the photo has the hot and spicy chicken, spinach, and a fish dish.

All I can say is WOW - just WOW. I got to try hog’s ear, braised pork, pork ribs, bbq chicken, a tofu appetizer, the spicy perch, a lamb dish (or was it goat LOL?), seaweed appetizer, and chicken feet. All of the food was very good, and it’s a nice clean restaurant. The Lotus Root Salad was to die for - I’ve never had lotus root before, but it was SO, SO good! Coming in at a close second place was the goat/lamb dish. Some said it was lamb while others said it was goat, so who knows? My apologies for not remembering the exact name of each menu item, but there was so much food flowing across the table that night that I really didn’t know what everything was. The service is great - very friendly and attentive. Most entrees are sized large enough to be served family style. One entree can easily feed two people - maybe even three people.

Good for meal time to eat fresher. Food tasty place for happy smile. Not very close to home life but driving is key to receive support food.

Wonderful restaurant in Houston Chinatown. Next to Mala, this place probably gets overlooked, but I’d say the quality here is on par or even better. Different cuisine but the food was delicious!! Excellent service, the ladies working here are smiley and friendly. The restaurant itself is nice and clean and bright. Menu in English and prices super reasonable for the quality you get. Definitely recommend this place!

Totally new style of Chinese food for me. Very impressive 😊 It is not hot spicy, it is not your common Chinese food. I also had white fish with a semi toward sweetness 🙂 I will definitely visit again. The restuarant interior design is noticeably nice.

So happy to see someone new took over the noodle restaurant. Gangnam Style is authentic Shanghainese cuisine. They haven't had a menu yet. According to the waitress, the chef established a prerty good idea on what to serve. I ordered a light flavored fish fillet marinades with fermented rice yeast 酒糟鱼片. So fresh and delicious. I'm going back to try other dishes and the noodles.

This restaurant is a great addition to one of the better plazas in Chinatown. I think the name "Gangnam" is a play on the name "Jiangnan". I've been here twice with my wife and a friend and the food was excellent on both occasions, leaving us with a clean feeling afterward. The staff is very nice, friendly, and welcoming. I can vouch for the following as being really good: Jiangnan Red Braised Pork (a must), Fish with Bamboo Shoot, Crystal Shrimp, Chili & Sour Potato, Lotus Roots with Ginger. I'm sure everything is good but we were only there twice. Really great.
