I made my own red beans and rice with andouille and tasso and decided I wanted some gizzards, livers, and hot wings. I have always heard the gizzards and livers are great at Hartz. Man they are excellent! I feel like I'm in Louisiana Cajun country. Bam!
I felt nostalgic and wanted to eat some chicken gizzards. Not often people eat this type of food unless you are struggling. I ate this as a kid and loved it and when I saw it available I had to order me a dozen of chicken gizzards. This is best eating hot with the bread that comes with it.
I enjoyed everything they had. Food was fresh and hot. 11/3/21 Drove from Katy for this only because it was the only hartz that was accepting dine-in. All others were drive thru only. The cashier lady was friendly. Will visit again.
Great food, good buffet! They remodeled the place so it's much nicer and more open, which I didn't care about because the food is so good. Their chicken breast looks like chicken breast unlike other chicken places where it looks like your getting a thigh. Other location on Main and Fondren just as good owners are the same.
Very good buffet, clean and well kept, fried chicken so hot it melts the foam plates. The banana pudding tastes like Laffy Taffy so delicious. The pinto beans were made with heart and had wonderful flavoring. I will definitely visit again.
Good variety of southern cooking with friendly and professional employees. Love their fried fish, fried okra, and fried chicken livers. Of course the chicken is good also. So many sides but their greenbeans are my favorite because nothing can beat their savory taste . The rolls are good too. Too many tasty things!
Food is good. It is usually hot and fresh. I love the fried okra. They do have a buffet but I am not a buffet person. It doesn't look bad though.
I and my Christian pastor friend have eaten at Hartz Buffet 7 times thus far. The one at Fondren and Beechnuts is excellent. The good reminds me of the Southern quality food on my home of New Orleans and adjacent Jefferson Parish! The employees are kind and knowledegable!🙂🤗
