Awesome food and great service! I visited Hay Merchant for the first time and will be back. The Korean Braised Goat and Dumplings were unreal — I’d go back just for the these. The Cease and Desist burger was a classic American burger with double patties and thin slices of cheese — cooked just right and tasted great. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

This is a great place to grab a few beers and some great food. They have a large selection of beers that have a good variety. The food also has a large variation from some more classic bar bites to fancier more original dishes. We had their garlic shrimp and fish and chips both of which tasted incredible. On top of all this the service was incredible they were up beat super knowledgeable and gave us a great experience all around. The prices are also very reasonable. It will become a staple for us!

Love the food at Hay Merchant. They're one of my favorite spots in the city for their happy hour(s), but not only that, they've got the noms to back it up too! Highly recommend this spot for at least one visit while you're in the city.

Tons of beer options, on tap. The food was pretty good, pretzel and cheese sauce was the best. Quinoa burger and fries were supprisingly good. Wings didn't knock our socks off. Seating is limited, but first come first serve outside and by the bar.

Hay Merchant - the cease and desist Burger is the BEST burger I’ve eaten in Houston so far... i also love that the name pokes fun at in and out. The French Fries are the second best fries in Houston. If you’re looking for a healthier option, order the blackened chicken. They have multiple beers on draft and an excellent selection of wine. This is mostly an environment for adults but children are welcomed in the dining room during lunch and early dinner.

This place is worth every star! We came in with high expectations and it was well worth it. So many different choices of beer to choose from. And the food was so big, it's the largest chicken fried chicken I've ever seen. The service was right on also. We cant wait to go back!

Love the toasted bun, fresh ingredients, and the overall presentation. The fries were plentiful and included with the burger. Burger menu was limited as Brunch is every Sunday until 3pm. The mango mimosa was pretty tasty.

Great tap room w expansive draft selection...we tried a dozen offerings and enjoyed about half them as some of the more exotic micro brews were just not well made...but still it was fun to explore. Service was okay for a very busy Friday night. The PBJ wings are freakishly tasty and odd all at the same time. The braised goat and dumplings was awesome grub and a great find ...we also had the chicken and biscuit which was some seriously tasty comfort food. If u can find the right beer pairing u can really take advantage of the solid kitchen they have here.

Came here early Sunday afternoon, they have self-seating. Great bar for watching football or any other sport. Very limited parking but easy to locate from the street. What made this a great restaurant was the PB&J wings. They were AMAZING. THEY ARE A DEFINITE MUST TRY!!!!! Service was great very attentive, I really appreciate a good server. Atmosphere was very relaxed. Mimosa were strong but didn't have a deal for a Sunday. All in all great experience, I would recommend to family and friends.
