Hunan King Chinese Restaurant

This restaurant's fantastic. I had the Combo Lo Mein, my usual, with no onions. They prepared it just as I needed and it was so fresh, it was still steaming when the cashier brought it to my table. Tasty, reasonably priced, excellent service. They encouraged me to come back and try some of their other dishes, since it was my first time and I hadn't tried the specials yet. Hunan King's quality is a secret that's been kept too well.

On a recent Saturday evening, I visited Hunan King and ordered three entrees: the hunan shrimp, general tso's chicken, and the house fried rice. I was impressed with the short wait time and blown away by the amazing food! The hunan shrimp was particularly noteworthy, bursting with flavor and served in huge portions that were piping hot. Despite not typically ordering shrimp from a Chinese restaurant, I would highly recommend this dish - it's a must-try! I would give it a 10/10. The general tso's chicken was also delicious, with a crispy texture that sets it apart from similar dishes at other restaurants. While it tasted similar to Panda Express's version, it was less oily and more satisfying. I would give it a 9/10. The house fried rice was good, with a distinct sesame flavor that's hard to replicate at home. While it's something I could make myself, it was still quite enjoyable, and I would give it an 9.5/10. Overall, I would rate Hunan King 4.9/5. Since changing management in 2022, I've noticed a significant improvement in the food quality. If you're in the mood for Chinese food, I highly recommend giving this place a try - you won't be disappointed!

This was my first time trying Hunan, I was looking for something close to my job, I ordered online so I didn't know what to expect, but the food was delicious, seasoned just the way I like it. I got the Hunan King Fried Rice, I love spicey food and the wings crispy, I could have gotten them extra crispy that how I love my chicken cooked, I will go back to them.
