I came in wanting some soul food! It was so delicious. Hefty portions, great customer service. I had the oxtails and they were perfect. The sweet potatoes were soooo good. Y’all I almost cried Cuz it reminded me of soul food from when I was growing up with my baby sitter, she always made us soul food for lunch and dinner lol. I truly appreciate this place. I will definitely be back. I can’t wait to bring my Granny!

A Friend of mine told me about this soul food restaurant. I went and tried it and fell in love with the food and staff.
The food is very good, hot and fresh. I ordered the baked chicken, green beans,yams and corn bread. I had the dressing with gravey instead of the white rice. Colwell's dressing is the best I've have ever had!
The staff are very professional and provide friendly customer service.
Colwell's is my new favorite restaurant,

Hadn't eaten here in a couple of years, So glad to see the healthy and cordial faces of the staff! As usual, that's a great place to get good southern soul food in Houston. If you're visiting the City near I-69 North, let Google maps lead you right here for authentic American cuisine. My husband and I truly enjoyed it, again. Thanks Colwell's.

Stopped by this place today for some oxtails. The southern hospitality of this place was awesome. They were very attentive. Honestly I felt at home. I will definitely be going back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You deserve all ten stars 🤩
