Trying out this new Shinwari Afghan Restaurant in the Hilcroft Shopping Center. Complimentary Chicken Soup with grated carrot, chick peas and shredded chicken. Followed by Chapli Kabab which comes with naan, salad and rice - complete meal. Finish with Saffron Tea with jaggery (no artificial sugar) a little different taste but definitely worth trying.
Outstanding and very unique foods staff are very professional and everything arrived on time.

The food was amazing! Butter chicken had so many spices & flavors. Had some kick to it & I couldn’t stop eating it. Friendly owner and staff. Some of the best Indo-Pak food I’ve ever had.

The shinwari goat karahi is delicious! The Garlic butter naan is so soft that you could easily it by itself with no curry.
The portion sizes are small. If you're hungry I recommend getting an appetizer and two Curries.
The goat dum biryani is good but I felt it was short on the spicy aspect. As a whole this is a great spot for lunch and dinner.
Hidden gem in Houston. The lunch special was a fusion of Indian, Afghan, and Pakistani food. Butter chicken was also great. Presentation was also lovely

The ambient was ok but very laid back, and same with the service. The lady working there was extremely polite and pleasant but lacked the skills of serving tables in efficient way. Food for most part tasted above average except for Goat Boti that tasted really good. Overall I didn't find it to be an authentic Afghan experience.

They have buffet on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I went there for lunch. It was soo good especially afgan biryani and kabab.
I highly recommend trying their chapli kabab. it was delicious. We stopped here to get something very small to try because we wanted to have dinner somewhere else.
It was a nice little restaurant. The attendant was super nice and he gave couple of suggestions.
We ordered kabuli pulaw, chapli kabab, and sweet lassi.
The only thing we liked was chapli kabab. Lassi was very thin and kabuli pulaw meat was tender but not much flavor.
Halal restaurant.
Every restaurant we visited in Texas had halal certifications on their door. 👏
This food was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Some of the best naan I have ever had. The butter chicken was amazing. The owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly. I am definitely going back!
