We went here for the first time & everyone was friendly & accommodating to us. Our main server & her trainee were attentive to our requests & prompt. Even the owner was warm towards us. The food was excellently cooked & served! We ordered beef Stromboli, Pita shrimp, & Gyro, & Baklava. Their lemonade was also delicious! For 2.5 people, it was more than enough & we were stuffed. The dishes were delicious & we will be back for sure! The place was neat & tidy & even though the bathrooms could improve as they weren't immaculately clean, you would not see any trash out of place or pee stains on the toilet. It has a very friendly atmosphere & it's akin to a neighborhood family restaurant.

This Review is Long Overdue‼️ Al Aseel Grill and Cafe is hands down the most authentic fresh flavored meal 🥘 of my life. Every time I dine at Al Aseel ( dining in for over 9 months) the food is beautiful, fresh, and well seasoned! If you’re looking for the perfect halal spot to frequent with great prices and the best quail you’ve ever had, then you’ve come to the right place don’t forget the fresh naan and sauce * chefs kiss*

The food tastes like home and the staff feel like neighbors. It's nice, clean and cozy, but not a fancy place, which is what makes it even better. Don't buy an entrée for each person in your party. It's more like buying platters and sharing. It's easy to order way too much food :)

We decided to give it a shot for Sunday lunch. We got in around 2 pm and the place was not very busy. We were promptly seated and handed menus. The food was good, I can tell it was cooked and not packed and microwaved. The meat platter was cooked correctly and had the right spices. The hummus tasted good as well as the baba ghannoug and Turkish salad. Overall the food was good, the restaurant just needs some tlc.

One of the better Middle Eastern restaurant to try if you are into the food. Location is on Richmond and Dunlavy on the corner of the strip mall. It is a hole in the wall place but don't let it fool you. The waitress was welcoming and nice. She spoke English well but limited understanding. Here was what we decided to order besides soda and water (lol) and naan was on the house (came with spicy pepper salsa and tangy yogurt for dipping; love the kick of the pepper)): Hummus with meat - so good. The seasoning of the meat complemented the hummus so well that we couldn't stop picking at it. It was salted perfectly and add a bit of the pepper salsa if you dare (I recommend doing it) Falafel - ordered 4 since there were 4 of us. The dish came with 3 dipping sides: hummus with chunky chick peas (so good), creamy tahini sauce (slightly bitter, did not enjoy too much) and a creamy eggplant sauce (ok but added a little too much tahini which had a bitter after taste) the falafel was one of the best I tasted since it was not overcooked or dry like I had before. If you like chick peas this is for you Whole fried chicken - chopped up whole fried chicken on a plate of basmati rice and a side cucumbersalad. The food came out piping hot and depending whether you like dark or white meat, I recommend dark meat as the chicken was so moist and juicy. The breading on the chicken was thin but crispy and seasoned very well. I wouldn't mind ordering a bucket of dark meat to go. The breast was dry but we ate everything which meant yummo! Al Aseel Mixed Grill for 5 - this came with all assortment of meats: lamb chops, chicken, beef chunks and kabobs. The smell of charcoal was present so you know that you get this additional essence cooked into the meat. This also came on a large plate of rice with salad. The only meat I liked was lamb as it came out tender and the flavor was on par. The other meats especially the kabobs were overcooked until it was dry. The rice was a good addition and flavored well but it was way too much. Overall I had a good experience and it was different as I don't eat this type of food too often. I will come back and order the fried chicken and hummus with meat again. :-)

Incredible musakhan chicken and kofta kebabs. Feel dumb for not coming here years ago. Wood grill, fresh bread, just an incredible spot. Will make the drive again.

Had the mansaf and it was decent. Meat slightly undercooked though, but still will definitely be coming back.
