Visiting Houston with a very large crowd, we must've had a party of 20+ for breakfast. Servers worked with fantastic team work to accommodate the large group. Food was good and the place was nice 😋
Caldo de res (Beef broth) was really good! The taste and flavor was authentic Mexican. The dish comes with Spanish rice and tortillas. The corn tortillas and the spicy salsa (with habanero) was also really good. I wilk definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.
This is one of the very few places which are open till 2 and have dine in. Chachos which is only 1 min away advertises it, but isn't really open. So this place is definitely at times life saver.
The food ranges from ok to great. I like their tacos. Mostly the speciality and the individual ones. The 2 fish taco plate was a bit letdown though. But overall like the other dishes. Their drinks are still fantastic (the margarita 's a
Will come frozen though...)Loved the service too
Haven't been here in years but was great. I got cheese enchiladas which were full of cheese unlike many other places. friend's from out of state got the fish soup and fajitas which they both really enjoyed. only saw our waitress twice and had to get up twice to ask someone for more chips and salsa as well as togo plates...so the waitress wasn't great but the cashier was awesome.
This business has been open for a long time. One of our favorite Mexican restaurant to go.
Every server is been great to us. I definitely want to give thanks to Tino, he's goes above and beyond with great service.
I just moved to the area and was so tired and hungry. I used an app and ordered Ruchi’s for delivery. My food was packaged well and still very hot even after a 20 minute drive! I ordered a large Horchata, chips and salsa, Lengua tacos on corn tortillas with cilantro and onions and Menudo. Everything was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. Best Lengua tacos I’ve ever had. The Horchata was ice cold and perfectly creamy. The menudo was incredible. I really enjoyed every bit of it. Would have like limes included and maybe even some fresh jalapeño for my menudo but it’s was still pretty great without. Didn’t realize the tacos were two per order so that was even better.
One of the best things about living in a metropolitan area like Houston is the abundance of Mexican and Tex- Mex restaurants, and I do love Mexican food! Having so many options also means that you can be choosy and skip over those that don’t meet your standards. One chain restaurant that passes my requirements is Ruchi’s Taqueria Mexican Restaurant, located near the Houston 610 South Loop.
Walking inside, it will be obvious that you’re in a Mexican restaurant, but it’s far more subtle than other Mexican restaurants, some of which take their desire to look festive to extreme levels. You don’t get that here. The decorations on the walls let you know you’re in a Mexican establishment but other than that, Ruchi’s Taqueria Mexican Restaurant keeps things simple. They don’t want to distract you with excessive attention to the décor. They want you to focus on the food and conversation.
Sitting down at your booth or table, you will get served the customary chips and salsa as a warm-up. If you want something more, they have a short menu of appetizers with about ten options. I find that I usually munch down on enough chips that I don’t want an appetizer. I focus instead on the main course, and I have liked what I have tried here. I usually go for the tacos al carbon or enchiladas Vallarta, or sometimes even a cheese quesadilla if I’m not too hungry. I have found the food good in overall quality and certainly worth the price.
Another positive at Ruchi’s Taqueria Mexican Restaurant is the service. The wait staff has always seemed very happy here. They seem to love what they do and are ready to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. So, all things considered, Ruchi’s Taqueria Mexican Restaurant is one that easily meets my standards, and I will continue to visit this and other locations when the need for Mexican food arises.
Really enjoyed this whole experience. Fajita enchiladas were terrific. 😋 Flan was better than expected, not too sweet.
Really sweet server.
The shrimp burrito supreme was really good. The lemonade is the real deal. Fresh squeezed too. I would have given Ruchis 5 stars but I didn't feel the love at all here. Plus I tipped before I even got service at the table. Smh I didn't even get nachos. Let me stop thinking about it before I give them 3 stars. If it wasn't for the food, I'm telling you it would be a problem
Delicious food. Lucila, our waitress was amazing. She was super attentive. Our food was served in a timely matter. Chips were super fresh and salsas made from scratch. *I preferred the green salsa and took one to go for later.*
