Great pizza! It has an unmistakable homemade quality that will keep me from ever even trying anything else on the menu. Friendly staff and the opposite vibe from the typical cookie-cutter chain stores that will keep you coming back. This is a hidden gem!
First time here and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great fresh food and good sized portions. I will definitely be back and would recommend anyone looking for a new Italian restaurant to give this restaurant a try. ��
I can see why people like this place. I wanted to try out the pizza, but the poboy looked good as well. I ordered both and took some leftovers home. The poboy was excellent. The bread was about as perfect as you can get. Soft and light, but just a little crispiness. I liked the dressing they used as well. I enjoyed my pizza, although the crust wasn’t my favorite. But the toppings I had were good- sausage and onions. Staff was super friendly.
VERY LOCAL AND BETTER YET VERY AFFORDABLE, IN MY OPINION BEST MEATBALL SANDWICHES IN TOWN!!!! SUGGEST YOU ALL GO AND GIVE IT A TRY YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT ONE BIT.
Great price. Good food. In older area of Houston. Near my work shop. Give it a try if your in the area the food is good. My favorite is the personal pizzas and the lunch special lasagna....
The fried cheese is different but fantastic. The pizza is definitely the best I've had in a long time. Olives and feta were delightful would have liked it better without the pits in the olives.
Good Homecooked Italian. Saturday afternoon seating is easy and the service is great. Began with fried calamari and it was prepared exactly as we like it... light and delicious. Eggplant held no surprises and was most enjoyable. Husband;s shrimp was prepared correctly and he enjoyed every bite. We also added the Greek salad with the meal and it was good. Too full for dessert but plan to order the carrot cake the next time. Will certainly make the effort again when in Houston.

This little restaurant is just down the road in the neighborhood I grew up in. If you are looking for something comfortable with a family feel then this place is for you. If you are on the southside of Houston or traveling out of Hobby airport, you can get a decent meal for a reasonable price and have leftovers. The dining room has lots of vintage photos of old movie stars and the ceiling is strewn with twinkling lights and empty wine casks which makes for a nice atmoshpere especially around dinnertime. It's also worth a visit for the daily lunch specials which are priced even lower. This being said I must say the food we had, basic Pasta dishes were a tad bit underseasoned however it was prepared with obviously fresh ingredients, the service was great and you can see the kitchen from the dining room and it was spotless which is a big plus considering the restaurants not going to attract many visitors based on appearance alone. Overall a solid pick if you are in the mood for Italiano on this side of town.
A great little find. Let me be up front about what you will find. This place is not an upscale Olive Garden wannabe. It is a simply furnished family-run establishment in a working-class area of town. However, the portions are generous and the food is great. They serve delicious pizza and spaghetti, and I can strongly recommend either the Veal Marsalla or the Veal Parmigiana. However, my favorite dish (so far!) is the red snapper Meniurre, when available-a generous portion of broiled red snapper topped with shrimp and mushrooms in a lemon-butter wine sauce. Delicious-and less than $16! Please note, though, that George's is now normally closed on Sundays (there may be exceptions for major holidays like Valentine's and Mother's Day-call in advance).
What a cute place. The service was wonderful. It felt like your grandmother's house! Warm and inviting. I ate all of my chicken parm! Next time pizza!

Was a good experience. Me and my friends enjoyed the price but they're lasagna meat sauce was pretty watery. I got the pizza and it was amazing personally. Really cheesy and filling. The people here were really REALLY nice.
Love George's! Always delicious and economical, you can get a large Super special pizza for $16, so tip your waitress well! This place has been a staple for my family for over 25 years. We wouldn't go to any other nearby pizza joint, EVER. Our loyalty is here. All the food is great!
We had a to-go order, everything was packaged with care, order was exactly correct, the greek salad with grilled chicken was awesome. Chicken Lemonate was light and filling at the same time. Chicken and pasta cooked correctly, a very good dish. Calamari was still crispy somehow, and not over cooked or over breaded. We will definitely be headed back. The lady on the phone was very nice and polite as well.
This place was delicious! The service was great. The pizza was amazing and fresh! The meatball sub was a little blah but still good. Our server was the sweetest person and very helpful. Great little hole in the wall place.
Hidden gem. Family-owned, friendly staff, delicious food. If you expect to be served quickly, then go somewhere else. They take the time to individually prepare every meal fresh, and it shows. Don't worry though, the appetizers and salads come out fast, so there's plenty of yumminess to enjoy while you're waiting for your entree. This place has been around forever, and they are never packed, which is nice, but a shame, because they deserve to be full every night.
Found this cozy delightful Italian restaurant and really glad I did! Food is fantastic and simple along with the staff that makes you feel like welcomed and at home. Definitely a place to try if you are in the area!
It’s a neighborhood classic! Been coming here for years and never had a bad experience with the food or staff everyone is welcoming and kind! Food is super delicious I always get the lasagna.
Best pizza in town! And the calamari is fantastic too. I love this place.
