Clear Lake Hunan is my neighborhood default for Chinese takeout for this reason; They strike the best balance of serving “American-traditional Chinese” that they’re long known for within the community — while offering more inventive Cantonese, Sichuan and Taiwanese dishes you can find in Chinatown (for ex: jalapeño chicken at Mein)
The fact the lunch special (both egg roll and soup) is still around $10 in 2023 makes me very happy. And helps heals the pain when I can’t dine in Flushing, Richmond BC or Singapore.

Craving rice noodles so I ordered their Singapore Noodles to go: noodles, celery, onions, pork and shrimps in a spicy sauce. I skipped the celery and the dish was fantastic! Always pleasant service, too.

The service is 10/10. As a courtesy they give you home made croissants. The food is real and good and the peach tea is like no other I have ever tried.

Went for a quick dinner when I was in the area. Had a craving for some Chinese food. Had the king po chicken dinner special with hot and sour soup. Everything was good and service was excellent.

We've been looking for a better Chinese delivery nearby and I had no idea this place was here. It was amazing! So much bigger than the previous one we have been ordering from. It will be our new go to!
