You may drive past the ice cream parlor easily because it is not noticeable. There is a big parking lot, and two designated parking spaces just for Sweet Cup customers.
There is a huge variety of flavors. From classic flavors like strawberry, and chocolate, to unique flavors like fig and goat cheese, and Vietnamese coffee, there is bound to have a flavor that you will like. I had the fig and goat cheese, and Bacio which is chocolate hazelnut. Both flavors were good but could have been more pronounced. Staff was friendly, and allowed customers to try the flavors prior to purchase.
Enjoy your ice cream either inside with limited seating or outside which has a few tables and chairs.
My recent visit to SweetCup in Montrose was a delightful experience. The highlight of my trip was the friendly female cashier with striking red hair who provided excellent service. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the flavors, offering great recommendations.
While I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, the only hiccup was my desire for an affogato around 3 pm, but unfortunately, the espresso machine wasn't available. Nevertheless, it didn't overshadow the positive aspects of my visit.
The store itself was impeccably clean, and I appreciated the opportunity to sample various flavors. It's worth mentioning that the same cashier efficiently handled a rush of customers during my visit, which showcased her professionalism.
SweetCup in Montrose is a must-visit for ice cream enthusiasts. Despite the espresso machine hiccup, the overall experience, thanks to the friendly staff and the variety of flavors, left me thoroughly satisfied.
A small cup is the perfect size. Not too much and comes with two flavors. We had Vietnamese coffee, matcha, mocha, and cheesecake. This place is a GEM! Be aware that this is no cash business.
We have never heard of SweetCup before but we were sure happy we found it! This place has so many yummy flavors of gelato to pick from. Most of our group ordered the small cup size which gives you two scoops of different flavors (or two of the same if you wish). The large cup size is probably a better choice in a first trip because it gives you up to four different flavors. The Vietnamese Coffee flavor was excellent. Pricing wasn't too back. The place only has a few seats, approximately 8-10, and the majority were already in use when our group arrived so we had to take our gelato to go. We would go again if ever in the area.
I love a gelato place with a plethora of options. There were THREE stracciatella (my faveee) options here - an original, a caramel and a peanut butter. I tasted all 3 and struggled to decide but settled on the peanut butter. The ice cream is creamy, a good sweetness level and a soft texture right out of the bucket. Worth checking out!
Great ice cream and coffee place to beat the heat near Miller Outdoor Theater and the Hermann Park. We dropped off our boy at the theater for a performance and had a few minutes to find a coffee and ice cream place to beat the heat during the summer. Cozy and friendly atmosphere!
Super delicious. I had the apricot and wild berry, and it was so refreshing. They have a lot of different flavors to choose from. The employees were so sweet and patient (we took a while choosing since it was our first time. It was also very clean inside. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Houston!
The actual cone is delicious! Chocolate sorbet was really yummy and light. Employee was a little unwelcoming. A simple “welcome” would have had me spending more money.
If we haven’t been great for after lunch or dinner.
Wow! Incredible gelato flavors. Between six of us we tried so many flavors and they were wonderful. Not too sweet and full of flavour. We will definitely come back
Best Gelato in Houston, we have been coming here for several years when we're in Houston and it's always great.
