I'll say it again, The Veranda and Pat Guard's organization is incredible. To begin the evening, I described what I was looking for in a red wine and she had it and it was perfectly delicious. We also dove into their delicious lamb chops, my favorite entree and another favorite, the creme brulee which is always consistent at The Veranda, perfectly prepared - delicious flavor, consistency and crispy topping. Yummm! The food is wonderful, the service is wonderful and the ambiance is wonderful and what a peaceful setting for dining. All just wonderful!! Highly recommend it!! So hard to believe they're in Kingwood, but it's true. Can't wait to go back!!
Pat, Chef Ti and staff were wonderful in helping us have a special 25th Wedding Anniversary Dinner with a small group of family and friends on a short 2 week notice. Pat worked with me to arrange the event room to accommodate our party of 22 that pleased us greatly. She was calm and helpful, even while tending to others at times we came by to look at the room and prepare the room for the evening. Our guests enjoyed the delicious food. Our vegetarian and gluten-free guests were cared for with ease. Chef Ti and her staff were SO pleasant and accommodating when we had a couple last minute changes. Thank you for helping us have a memorable celebration.

Hubby and I decided to treat ourselves to dinner last night and we wanted to try a new place. We are so happy we tried The Veranda. The atmosphere was so comforting and intimate. Chef T was wonderful. I love that she was there to take our order. Not being able to meet her would’ve been a loss. From beginning to end we enjoyed ourselves. Wait staff was attentive and kind. Our food was delicious. We ordered the crab cake and the fire and ice shrimp as an appetizer. So so good. That sauce over the shrimp - I need a bottle of it. Hubby had the glazed salmon and I had the mahi pontchartrain. So so good. 😋😋.
And of course we saved room for dessert. Key lime pie and crème brûlée. I have always always always wanted to try crème brûlée and I am so glad my first experience was here. So creamy so delicious. With the beautiful crack of the brûlée sugar. Yum.
Hubby and I just wanted to sit and enjoy the ambiance and get a tour of the place. It was definitely an experience. Thank you Chef T and the entire staff. We told you we’d be back and Lord willing we will be.

Date night was a success! Thanks to Saul, (our host) and, the Chef who literally prepared our dishes with passion and patience. BYOB gave us the comfort of home while soft classic music had set the perfect atmosphere to enjoy our meal and a great intimate experience. (Everything on the menu is worth a try.)
Hidden gems are hard to find. In a world where everyone has an opinion, great things could be tight in front and be missed. Family service, with personal deliverance, characteristics of people loving individuals at culinary service. We hope you will enjoy, as much as we did.
Wow,wow,wow. Love the Veranda..Every time... Pat, the chefs, the folks that bring the meals make you feel like you are enjoying a remarkable experience. Yes special occasions but even for just a night out to feel special. The food is always Amazing.
After living in Kingwood for over 21 years, I had no idea this quaint but elegant place existed. The food was excellent and service equally as great!! By reservations only, I found them online . It's also BYOB!!

Make reservations early because they only serve 20 customers a night! I love that it's family owned and run. The prices are reasonable. Do yourself a favor and go!
We love this place so much! Pat does a phenomenal job! She took my senior photos back in 1997 (Pat & Rays Studio) and it wasn’t until about 5 years ago my husband and I started coming to eat here. We have gone the past few years for our anniversary because it is small, quiet, romantic, delicious, and we love the service. We have loved everything we have ever been served! And I highly recommend the coffee!

My husband and I had dinner here the other night to celebrate our anniversary. Pat was an amazing host and the chef has incredible skills! We treated ourselves and tried quite a bit (which of course resulted in us taking home food including dessert, thankfully the chef was able to pack up the creme brulee to go❤️). All of it was delicious. I highly recommend this place and encourage everyone to talk to Pat.
