Review The Veranda Steak And Seafood - Kingwood

Hubby and I decided to treat ourselves to dinner last night and we wanted to try a new place. We are so happy we tried The Veranda. The atmosphere was so comforting and intimate. Chef T was wonderful. I love that she was there to take our order. Not being able to meet her would’ve been a loss. From beginning to end we enjoyed ourselves. Wait staff was attentive and kind. Our food was delicious. We ordered the crab cake and the fire and ice shrimp as an appetizer. So so good. That sauce over the shrimp - I need a bottle of it. Hubby had the glazed salmon and I had the mahi pontchartrain. So so good. 😋😋. And of course we saved room for dessert. Key lime pie and crème brûlée. I have always always always wanted to try crème brûlée and I am so glad my first experience was here. So creamy so delicious. With the beautiful crack of the brûlée sugar. Yum. Hubby and I just wanted to sit and enjoy the ambiance and get a tour of the place. It was definitely an experience. Thank you Chef T and the entire staff. Wonderful 😊 great steak Diane, Mahi, Crab cake, wege salad, summer salad and loved atmosphere. The Veranda is just a Lovely, 🌹 quite, private, make your reservation ahead of time and Enjoy. Great place for celebration of marriage.🥂👍👍

Date night was a success! Thanks to Saul, (our host) and, the Chef who literally prepared our dishes with passion and patience. BYOB gave us the comfort of home while soft classic music had set the perfect atmosphere to enjoy our meal and a great intimate experience. (Everything on the menu is worth a try.)

Hidden gems are hard to find. In a world where everyone has an opinion, great things could be tight in front and be missed. Family service, with personal deliverance, characteristics of people loving individuals at culinary service. We hope you will enjoy, as much as we did.

Wow,wow,wow. Love the Veranda..Every time... Pat, the chefs, the folks that bring the meals make you feel like you are enjoying a remarkable experience. Yes special occasions but even for just a night out to feel special. The food is always Amazing.

After living in Kingwood for over 21 years, I had no idea this quaint but elegant place existed. The food was excellent and service equally as great!! By reservations only, I found them online . It's also BYOB!!

I can't say enough about The Veranda! Make reservations early because they only serve 20 customers a night! I love that it's family owned and run. The prices are reasonable. Do yourself a favor and go!

We love this place so much! Pat does a phenomenal job! She took my senior photos back in 1997 (Pat & Rays Studio) and it wasn’t until about 5 years ago my husband and I started coming to eat here. We have gone the past few years for our anniversary because it is small, quiet, romantic, delicious, and we love the service. We have loved everything we have ever been served! And I highly recommend the coffee!

My husband and I had dinner here the other night to celebrate our anniversary. Pat was an amazing host and the chef has incredible skills! We treated ourselves and tried quite a bit (which of course resulted in us taking home food including dessert, thankfully the chef was able to pack up the creme brulee to go❤️). All of it was delicious. I highly recommend this place and encourage everyone to talk to Pat.

I'll say it again, The Veranda and Pat Guard's organization is incredible. To begin the evening, I described what I was looking for in a red wine and she had it and it was perfectly delicious. We also dove into their delicious lamb chops, my favorite entree and another favorite, the creme brulee which is always consistent at The Veranda, perfectly prepared - delicious flavor, consistency and crispy topping. Yummm! The food is wonderful, the service is wonderful and the ambiance is wonderful and what a peaceful setting for dining. All just wonderful!! Highly recommend it!! So hard to believe they're in Kingwood, but it's true. Can't wait to go back!!

Pat, Chef Ti and staff were wonderful in helping us have a special 25th Wedding Anniversary Dinner with a small group of family and friends on a short 2 week notice. Pat worked with me to arrange the event room to accommodate our party of 22 that pleased us greatly. She was calm and helpful, even while tending to others at times we came by to look at the room and prepare the room for the evening. Our guests enjoyed the delicious food. Our vegetarian and gluten-free guests were cared for with ease. Chef Ti and her staff were SO pleasant and accommodating when we had a couple last minute changes. Thank you for helping us have a memorable celebration.

My wife and I got married here yesterday, 1/15/17. It was so far above and beyond what I expected I am still in amazement. Pat Guard was an incredibly woman! Very talented, passionate and so very kind to us! Everything went off without a hitch for my wedding of 50+ people. The food was stellar, the venue gorgeous, and the staff very attentive. I can not recommend it enough! Call and get a reservation and experience this amazing place and wonderful people!

We love this place! Its beautiful. The food is phenomenal and the staff is exceptional! We can't say enough about it. From the appetizer to the cappuccino and dessert it was out of this world. The owners onsite and hands on 100%. The decor and ambiance are as wonderful and unique as the owners. Alot of love goes into everything they do. Great place for lunch, dinner, special occasions or events. We will be back as often as we can. Thank you Pat for all you and your family do.

My 6 year old takes piano lessons here and Pat is absolutely incredible with him. She makes piano a joy. He has blossomed with her and we are so grateful. We have eaten here twice after piano recitals and both times were absolutely delicious.

The Veranda is amazing. The ambiance and the food was all so very good. I highly recommend this place for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, etc. Pat and Ray are absolutely adorable! They will make your visit worthwhile. Trust me when I say, "I'm going back!!"

What a wonderful place! The staff is fantastic. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for a date night.

We recently hosted our supper club group dinner at The Veranda. Our meals were amazing from start to finish. Pat Guard and her staff are so friendly and professtional. It was a true fine dining experience. We have been on many occasions and look forward to our next visit.

We have enjoyed The Veranda since Pat and Ray Guard opened their doors over 2 decades ago. Martha and I were joined on our latest visit by another long time friend and Kingwood resident, Elaine Engel. As always we had an excellent fine dining experience. Entrees of Steak Diane, Steak Diablo and a special strip steak chimichurri were all perfect as was the entire meal. We have tried everything on the menu at one time or another and never been disappointed. Thank you Pat.

We came here for the first time tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere and decor is very calming and ambient. Our food was outstanding. My husband and I both had steaks that just melted in the mouth. Our plates were presented beautifully. Desserts were delicious. The service was wonderful. So attentive and personable. We had a really lovely night and will definitely be returning.

The Veranda's pecan-crusted tilapia with fruit salsa is incredible! The food, convenient location and warm hospitality make dining here a deliciously unique experience.

Food and service was excellent. Tomato Bisgue is the best I have had,and I have eaten in many 5 star restaurants.

The Veranda is a fabulous restaurant with excellent service and food! Pat and Ray Guard are very gracious and make you feel special no matter what the occasion!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving meal. The food wad wonderful and the relaxed welcoming atmosphere was perfect.

What an amazing place to dine or to have an event at. The food was fabulous and the staff was excellent. Great venue for meetings for sure. Hope to go again. The owner is also a professional photographer so the place is filled with beautiful photos! :)

Every single thing was wonderful.....the food, the decor, the birthday cake, down to the welcome sign and menus that announced my birthday! I'm not one who usually enjoys attention, but I didn't mind at all tonight! Can't wait to come back to your lovely restaurant again!

I had the pleasure of having lunch at The Veranda Restaurant this afternoon for the first time and was SO IMPRESSED! The atmosphere is so nice and the food was excellent. Ray and Pat Guard have done an amazing job creating the ideal atmosphere for an elegant night out with a date, a quiet lunch with friends, or a private event for the holidays. I had Tortilla Soup, Chicken Marsala, and White and Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake and everything was delicious! The background music was just the right touch. This restaurant is definitely worth visiting! It's off the beaten path and I'm so glad I found it, because I will definitely be back again and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for the amazing lunch! :)

Food is awesome and despite what the Facebook page says, they are open on Sunday and have a great brunch.

Love The Veranda there are not many places in Kingwood to get great food, great service and a nice quiet romantic atmosphere. We had such a great dinner and visit with old friends the other night we totally lost track of the time! Highly recommend it ❤️
