Bamboo China Cafe

I've been eating here for years now! I'd say this is probably the second best Chinese restaurant in all of Houston, but the one with the better service! Everything I have ever tried here has been really good! I've done the Mongolian dishes, the scheshuan style dishes, the chicken and broccoli, the beef and broccoli, the shrimp and broccoli, their lo mein is the best, their house fried rice is the best! They have lunch portions that are huge before 4 pm! The only complaint that I have is that lunch special cabbage egg roll! It's nothing to write home about! But they do have different egg rolls on the menu, so that saves them! I love this place! I just wish that it was bigger! It's always so packed! And it's a small restaurant in a plaza!

This place is conveniently located near my school so some friends and I ordered lunch specials & they were AMAZING! We all ordered different things, and our meals were all hot, fresh, and prepared in a timely manner. Usually Chinese food restaurants serve food that seems like it’s been sitting for a while, but not here, and it was a pleasant surprise… The place is a little small inside but not small enough to be uncomfortable. I will definitely be returning many more meals moving forward. I love this place! If you’re considering it, go for it! They’re amazing!

Only been here once, but the first thing I’d say about this place is the food was fresh. At least ours was & you don’t usually get that with Chinese food. I see complaints about the pricing, but to me it seemed average. My son said the orange chicken was crunchy just like he likes! Customer service was okay. They were able to accommodate my wife’s vegetarian request & she was pleased, so no complaints here! Oh, and they have bean curd (tofu), too.
