I had an incredible dining experience at Brookstreet BBQ, a local gem here in Houston. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff that set the tone for a fantastic meal.
First off, I must rave about the BBQ beans. They were simply amazing, bursting with flavor and the perfect complement to the rest of my meal. The potato salad, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw were equally delicious sides that left my taste buds dancing with joy.
Now, let's talk about the meat. The brisket was tender and smoky, the pulled pork was flavorful and juicy, and the sausages, especially the jalapeño sausage, had that perfect kick. It's clear that Brookstreet BBQ takes their BBQ seriously, and it shows in every bite.
The order-at-the-counter setup added to the laid-back and casual atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The restaurant exudes cool vibes that made me feel right at home.
Overall, Brookstreet BBQ exceeded my expectations with its exceptional food and friendly service. It's a must-visit for any BBQ enthusiast in Houston. I can't wait to go back and savor those amazing BBQ beans again!

Great barbecue place, everything was delicious. We had brisket and sausage, potato casserole and macaroni and cheese as side dishes.
I will definitely go again.

I started on my food then decided I would leave a review so I took a picture. The food was great, good portions and good price. I got the 2 meat plate with 2 servings of brisket, macarroni and mashed potatoes. We went on a Tuesday evening it was a little empty but perfect for us. The staff were great, very attentive. We got our food fast and ate it upstairs. We enjoyed feeling like we were eating in someone's dining room. The couches upstairs are also very comfortable.

This place was the PERFECT for a quick lunch stop, but with great food! We came from out of town and found them online. It is so yummy! Would definitely recommend.

We had the brisket sandwich plates. The brisket was delicious! Mac n' cheese and green beans rounded out the plates. All of it was good. The building is also cool with lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Came here for the morning Drive-tru Breakfast Tacos and let me tell you, they are all insanely good! It's a small simple breakfast menu, potatoes and eggs, sausage and eggs, and brisket and eggs tacos, all really good. Get the spicy sauce, it is not really spicy but has good flavor. Will come again, fast service and great food.

This place isn't going to be competing in any barbecue competitions in the state, but it was an absolutely solid and delicious plate of food. I've had better barbecue, but I've had a lot worse too.
We ordered a brisket and jalapeno sausage plate and loved both. The brisket was tender and juicy, the sausage had a great snap and was full of flavor.
The actual restaurant was interesting. Appeared to be a converted old house and the outside seating area in the upper deck looked great (it was well over 100 degrees so we didn't sit out there). The staff were joking among themselves when we arrived and had huge smiles throughout our visit - they seemed happy and to be enjoying their jobs which is always nice to see and makes you feel better as a diner.
I will definitely come again if I'm hungry in this area. I think it's the best food option in the area.

Always good food. Nice, laid back atmosphere. Several different seating options. It a house converted into a restaurant so there a porch and room-turn-seating upstairs.
Food is delicious and the BBQ sauce is one of the best. Presentation and quantity is decent for the price charged. The specials are good deals
Plenty of parking and there’s a drive thru. It’s busy but not packed.

That brisket was perfect! The staff is great and the atmosphere is quite unique. Loved the roof top seating at this old cobble stone house that is now the restaurant.

Fast service, brisket sandwich is juicy and flavorful, potato salad is amazing! When you go upstairs it’s such a different vibe like you’re literally in someone’s house. And LOVE the balcony on a nice outdoor weather.

First time eating here and I enjoyed my meal. Got the 2 meat plate with beans and potato salad. The beans were tasty but the potato salad did not taste homemade. It tasted like the deli potato salad that you get from sysco. Lucky for them I actually like that kind of potato salad. I may be wrong about it and if I am then my apologies, but the tounge doesnt lie. I know that taste anywhere.
The spicy sausage had great flavor. Very garlic heavy but otherwise very good snap and taste.
The brisket was on the dry side. Sad to say it cause they unwrapped a new brisket when I got there out of the butcher paper. Pretty nice pencil thick slices as real brisket should be served. Nice smoke ring all around. But looks wasnt enough to save it. The bark on the sides were dry and crunchy. What saved it was the inside that was on the verge of becoming dry as well but was at an edible point. A little disappointed cause it was a new brisket but I'm going to try and not be too harsh as I have had worse brisket. This one will get a pass for now.
All on all this was a good place. Customer service was excellent and the ambiance was great as well. I will come back for a second try as I hope the brisket will improve. And for bbq it was not a bad deal for under $20.

I've been here three times, and I feel like I can now give an honest review. The sweet tea is great. Strong yet not too in your face with attitude. The Wet Brisket is just as good as any of the top rated places in the state. The Ribs are good but nothing to write home about. The mild link is really tasty. The sides are hit and miss. I loved the potato salad two of the visits, but there was one time that it was dry and under seasoned. The potato casserole is solid every time. Lastly, the corn is friggin amazing. You could come here just for that and it would make this spot a 5 star restaurant. Do yourself a favor and eat here when you are inside the loop.

Had a hard time deciding between 3 and 4 stars. But 4 it is for me. As you pull up to the restaurant, you notice it's a good looking building. Looks like a two story home turned restaurant. Had plenty of parking which is a plus for this part of the city. Staff was great! Couldn't be friendlier. There was no line at all. Sitting downstairs is very limited except for the pleasing patio outside. The patio outside is excellent. Very well maintained and landscaping to go with it. As for the food, I had two meat plate which came with two sides. I had brisket and ribs with mashed potatoes and green beans. The plate came with a good piece of bread. The brisket was good but it sat in the warmer too long. It was a bit over cooked. The ribs were ok. If you like a lot of bark on your ribs, these aren't it. The mashed potatoes were great but the green beans were bad. Overall I would come again if I were in the area and was with someone who needs to check it off the BBQ list. Beautiful building with average BBQ.

The food was good, not great. I had the Brisket, Ribs, and jalapeno sausage. I also had Mac n Cheese and beans. Thr Mac delicious, everything else was good not great. The staff seemed almost annoyed I was there and reluctant to help. The atmosphere could be cool, it has nest seating options, and true country (not the pop stuff on the radio) playing, but the vibe from the staff really brings it down.

I was looking for a quick get in, get out place that wasn't fast food. Then I remembered Brookstreet. So glad I did. The brisket sandwich was tender and juicy. I was given the option of lean or marbled. MARBLED PLEASE! So good at a reasonable price.

This is the best bar b que I've had in Texas. Being from South Carolina it's hard to find good pulled pork. By far the best. And the bread pudding is to die for. Came to town for a concert and found this great place online. Will definitely go again. Food was excellent as well as staff and location.

We happened to be in the area and were craving some BBQ. I am glad we stopped by. The place was hammered busy (Super Bowl weekend) but still extremely courteous to the customers. The food is off the rails good! Brisket is moist and tender, pulled pork is as well. Jalapeño sausage was fantastic and the bread is a little bit of heaven. It is in an old house which makes for a good vibe. It's a cool spot with some jammin' food. Check it out! Cheers🍻

Easy to find. Free parking. Which for downtown Houston area is a blessing. Food selection is good. Service is great. Pulled pork, sausage, ribs, turkey, brisket - all good. BBQ sauce (one flavor) was A-OK

The barbecue was awesome and the potatoe salad was off the chain. The gave me tea instead of sprite which put a dim on the meal because it was unsweetened.
Tony Rogero
It was average BBQ a bit overpriced. Customers service was a bit subpar too. To top things off my partner and I both got upset stomachs. Don't think we'll be back.

I loved Brookstreet....the food was delicious....the patio is like sitting in someone's back yard...one of the owners helped us with the menu making suggestions for what we should try.....and in my Missy Elliott voice....can I just say....Challah!!!! Where has this bread been all my life???? Pulled pork on the challah roll....the best....I'll be back that's for sure!
