My husband and I visted the shop today for the first time. We called ahead to make sure they had what we wanted. When we arrived we found that the manager of the shop had an unexpected treat waiting for us. We were looking for a vegan donut and River oaks Donuts was able to deliver. I was very pleased with my vegan option and my husband loved his maple glaze. We will definitly be back! Oh and thanks Kim & Teeka :)
My sister bought my daughter a huge donut for her birthday cake and she loved it! The donut was delicious and the icing was even better! I recommend highly and the compliments we got on it were great!
This place is so good! My boyfriend and I finally checked it out this morning and we will be back! I love donut holes, so their diverse selection was amazing and their Holland cream stuffed donut holes were to die for! Their kolaches were to die for too and we especially liked the brisket kolache- it was unexpected but so unique and delicious and we are already ready for more 😊
Stopped by this place at 8am on a weekday and it was slightly busy but the drive thru is clutch. They were out of Apple fritters at 8am which is weird so I got the fritter bites along with a glazed donut and the regular cronut and Nutella cronut. The bites and glazed donut were ok. The cronuts were pretty good especially the regular cronut which was filled with cream. The Nutella one was fine but lacked in flavor for me. The cream cheese filled red velvet donut holes are alright as well. Overall good spot
This donut shop is amazing! I had custom donuts done for my sons first birthday and they did not disappoint. I emailed them a picture of the pajamas my son would be wearing a week before and the donuts they created were fabulous! Taste and appearance, 5 stars!
Went there Sunday morning, the place was packed but the line moved fast and service was friendly and efficient.
I got chocolate and cherry glazed donuts with sprinkles, both were OK; generally nothing spectacular or inventive flavor wise; I tried one with Reese's puffs but they were soggy; also bought donut holes, all of them, two of each: the filled holes were very good, specifically the red velvet, others were dry, some even hard.
They also offer gluten free options if you're looking for that.
There's a drive thru and some parking places on site.
High end doughnuts! I love my doughnuts, and I was really excited about getting their cronuts... However when I got there they were some out, which was my fault for showing up a half hour before close. Pro tip-you can call ahead and reserve an order, I will be doing this next time! I was not a fan of the coffee, tasted burnt to me. The sausage kolache are the best I have had, far better than the standard. The Boston cream had more frosting on it than it needed, the chocolate was over powering. I also tried the oreo cookie peanut butter doughnut... And it was amazing!!! Parking is tight, and there is no room in the store to eat, however they do have a few small tables outside. If you go through the drive through you can bypass the parking problem, and there is a park across the street that is a nice place to enjoy your yummy treats. I will definitely be going back here, can't wait to try the cronut!
Staff is helpful when trying to decide what donuts and flavors to get. I love that they have a drive-thru and are efficient. Definitely recommend coming here! Jennifer helped me this morning with deciding what donuts to get for a breakfast “it’s a girl” party! She did a great job with picking out donuts. Customer service is awesome and the donuts are delicious!
First time here. Cute small shop. Employees were nice and they had a good selection. Donuts were very tasty.
This is my third time ordering custom donuts from river oaks and it’s a hit every time! This time I needed baby girl themed and could only give vague ideas because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I was so amazed how great they turned out! So pretty, and the glitter was such a cool touch. Everyone loved them and they tasted so good! They were so nice and patient on the phone when I was trying to describe my ideas and offered their own input which I greatly appreciated. Definitely the place to go if you want to be a little more unique and want custom donuts and get amazing and sweet service!
These may well be the best donuts in Houston, certaintly the best in this part of town. I'm glad they have so many options like vegan or gluten free
This is one of the most unique donut shops I have ever seen! I travel to Houston a few times a year and when in the Galleria area I make it point to stop by and take some of their donuts and kolachs for my morning meetings. They are always a hit and they disappear within minutes! Btw, they have a very courteous and attentive staff.
