Loved the food and ambiance of this little gem! The owner helped with my proposal dinner by setting up rose petals on the table and placing the ring on our desert. For the food side of things, the flavor was AMAZING! We started with the lobster stew and ordered the halibut and the beef tenderloin. The halibut has a great seafood taste that isn't too strong. The lobster stew was very tasty and had a subtle touch of lobster flavor. The steak was the best I had in a very long time. Cooked just right and was not over seasoned like many places around town. Lastly, the cheesecake had a unique flavor that you can't find anywhere else. You got to try it! Thanks again Alma and crew for making this a memorable night!

I live in River Oaks and eat at all of the restaurants in the area on a regular basis. The meal I had at Alma was top notch! The taste is amazing but they go further and have excellent presentation! The different textures are really cool you get the whole food experience taste, visual and feel. The craft cocktails are really good and again they pay attention to taste smell and textures which makes a very pleasant experience. My only suggestion would be to up the wine and whiskey selections to match the new level this restaurant has become. I hope they can keep up this level of food because it is a great experience and a must try!

Came here for dinner one night while in town. It was a nice day to sit outside in Houston, which is rare. The service was good, we didn't have a designated server, it seemed like, but we got a lot of help from all the servers. We got the Fried Mac and Cheese and it was really good, we asked for a side of marinara sauce to dip our mac and cheese in and it was really good. The order was big enough for us to share. We also ordered the Pistachio Pie and the Sweet Caroline. The pizza was a little over done for our liking, it seemed a little dry. The server was really nice about it and got us a little more sauce and that definitely completed it. The chef came out to talk to us and he was super nice as well. We also got the Nutella Pot de Creme. It was very tasty as well. I would come back after this experience because everyone was so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Drexel House to anyone in this area.

Can't say how awesome they are! Completely patient and kind throughout my party that grew and grew through the evening. I understand my group was massive and they took care of us just the same. Everyone's food was amazing! The atmosphere is really calming and the drinks were great too. 10/10 will return! Thanks for helping me celebrate a great birthday!

Had a nice light lunch with my wife here. Cobb Salad was good, and my wife had the gazpacho, which was excellent. We did have to try the croissant bread pudding as well, and it was incredible! Go for the chocolate! They also have an incredible wine list for those that are interested.

Second time here. It's just as delicious and great service as the first time.

Danny and Rachel are super friendly. I stopped in while waiting for Lush to open, and even though Drexel itself wasn't open, they let me sit at the bar and fix me a coffee! I don't drink coffee very often and didn't know what to order, and Rachel was very patient with me as I ordered. The beverage she fixed me (a vanilla latte with caramel drizzel) was delicious. Thanks, will be back again one evening to try out a cocktail!

Great South American cuisine, with a splash of fusion delights. Take a look at their beverage menu and their appetizers. This is not the Drexel house, and whatever management and offerings I had that time have completely changed. I invite you to take a good fresh look at it. This is not a sandwich place.

The food is excellent, with unique daily specials. I had the grilled Atlantic salmon, which was very rich and fresh tasting. Also, a good selection of wine and very friendly wait staff. I saved this on Google maps and will be back again.

I’ve tried this new place in my neighborhood twice. I’m glad to see that it looks like it’s taking off. Good service, good food, nice decor. It’s maybe a little pricey for the food selection, but the overall experience justifies it (actually I take that back, now that I see the Generous portion of lobster on my lobster Benedict). Nice place to treat yourself!
