Tampico Seafood & Cocina Mexicana

My husband & I have been eating at Tampico's for over 20 years & last night was our first disturbing experience. Our waitress spoke little to no English & kept interpreting my husband's order wrong to the point that another (English speaking) waitress stepped in & told our waitress what he wanted. She left then came back asking him yet again what did he want. When his meal was brought out it was still wrong! The 2nd waitress intercepted my husband headed over to speak the owner & apologized profusely & about 10 minutes later brought his food out. The rest of the evening both waitresses apologized so many times it was borderline harassment. Easy solution: make sure wait staff interacting with customers speak enough English to understand food orders. NOTE: 95% of customers last night were English speaking, non Hispanics.

They finally reopened on airline. Spouse and I had the bacon wrapped, meat stuffed with cheese jalapeño, then whole red snapper, scallops and rice with house margaritas. All were excellent. Wife said restrooms where top notch. Pricing was better than we expected from other heights places especially with our drinks.

Got the jumbo shrimp and scallops combo to go. The food was very tasty; the seafood was good. For my combo I chose fried rice, and it also came with a little salad, and bread, too. When I got here, there were 2 buildings with Tampico signs on them, but then with the help of a man directing traffic in the parking lot I found my way to the right location. Good meal!
