Love this location, I will definitely return! Like the fact it wasn't to crowded. The Bartender Brittany was awesome! Food and drinks were on point! The staff was friendly and attentive. Great Job!!!!

The steak was really good but it was not great, I liked the way they cooked it but maybe I had higher expectations for the quality of the meat. In any case I would return to this place. They have a baked bread that is delicious. The waiters are really nice and the sweet potatoes fires were crispy and with the right amount of salt.

I went in through the back alley. A bit tricky. Plenty of parking in the back. Immediately was seated. My wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Make some suggestions. I ordered the lunch special sirloin with fries and soup. Chicken tortilla soup has a little kick to it.
Small intimate location! Our Server, Lacresia was AWESOME! Very attentive, advised us of available soups w/o us having to ask. She served with a caring heart and smiles! Lacresia was professional and personable at the same time. She invited us back to this location for the live band on Friday and Saturday evenings, for the desserts and wines. The food was delicious and served timely.

Had a much better experience at this Saltgrass location than the Katy frwy. one 5 years ago... which was the last time I ate at any Saltgrass.
The ribeye was extremely tender & flavored nicely, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the restaurant was clean and the staff customer oriented.
So I went to this Salt Grass this evening for dinner and ordered the chicken fried steak, salad with Thousand Island, Mac ‘n cheese, and a peach tea. While it was dinner time it didn’t take long (no more than 4 minutes) to be seated. They took the order and brought drinks promptly followed by the food. The food itself was ok, but really the service was nice. Most notably for me was the fact that the manager Jacob got was helping out. He jumped right and and did what was need to ensure a pleasurable dinning experience. The wait staff was nice as well. Journey was his name and he did a really good job. It seemed to be a “team” approach by there was someone named Tye that helped as well and was very friendly. Over all 8 gold stars ⭐️ for the level of service. My only 4 star comment was I wasn’t a fan of the chicken fried steak. I should have gone with my first mind and gotten the chicken fried chicken or an actual steak.
Just had a great late lunch at Saltgrass on Shepherd. They’re lunch menu goes until 6pm. The chicken fried steak was only $13.50. The mac and cheese is some of the best I have had. It had a good meaty flavor. Wife enjoyed her $16 sirloin too. I forgot to take pics. Great country music too.
We had dinner on a Thursday, the restaurant was busy, but a table was available as we walked in. Our food was hot, our steaks were made as we requested, and the service was great. We did have a little issue, but it was fixed without it being a huge problem. Our family's first visit at the chain and we were pleased.
