Good dim sum. Service is quick! We over ordered & there was so much food leftover. Restrooms are clean but there was a weird chemical smell inside the private room we sat in. The waiters are very attentive and did a great job with our huge party today.
The food was delicious, everything I ordered was amazing.
I had the rice noodle roll with shrimp, the accompanying soy sauce was nice and sweet. I also ordered the shrimp and chives dumpling, shrimp dumplings, pork soup dumplings, fried shrimp balls, steamed bbq pork bao, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, and congee with fish.
Everything was very standard, the flavors delivered on the expectations.
The jasmine hot tea was delicious and they also refilled it for us.
The price might be a little high with most dishes being M (5.75) or L (6.75), so I would only come here once in awhile, especially if it's with a big family.
I came on a Monday for lunch so it wasn't very busy, I was seated ASAP and was able to order immediately. My waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.
Amongst all of the DimSum restaurants in town, we have decided on Ocean Palace for DimSum lunch today (Monday). We were not disappointed, the interior of the restaurant is pretty nice! The staff was friendly, food service was fast, and the overall taste of the DimSum was good 👍 Only thing was the turnip cakes was a little undercooked. The portion to price ratio is on point. **And kudos for not playing old chinese music from the 90s (it would be too typical and not "modern" to match the tastefully done interior designs), instead, they had the American Top 40 hits playing in the restaurant. (Whoever thought of the music choice needs a raise) Ok.. so overall experience was great, however.. I caught something when I asked for the bill... The suggested pre-calculated tip% choices (i.e. 15%, 20%, 25%) is calculated with the amount "after tax" not before tax. I have been in the industry long enough to know that trick, and honestly, it makes your customers that DOES notice this, question your business's integrity and honesty.
One last thing.. the bathroom floor is very slippery. Please consider putting some floor mats or carpets in the bathrooms. It can be a liability issue.
This review is for the dimsum experience. Went on Saturday morning and there was no line. Huge restaurant with lots of sitting place for everyone.
Ladies with carts catering small dishes of dimsum is faster than any fast food joint. We were eating within a minute after sitting down.
Dimsum were hot and fresh. Great flavor and none of the dish we ordered disappoint. Will return for more next time!
I came here on a Saturday right when they opened at 10 a.m. it wasn't too busy. They sat us down right away and prepared our order promptly. Great customer service, great selection of food. The food was delicious, I definitely recommend.
Very good option for a variety of dim sum. Sometimes you have to track down the cats as there doesn't seem to be a pattern and the same one skips the same tables in a row. Ordering from your server is guaranteed but slower than you'd expect. Parking can be hard if you want to park close on weekends but there are plenty of spots to get your steps in (a good way to work off a little of those calories 😂).
We went to the CADAH Gala to celebrate the scholarship recipients and had a wonderful dinner. The crabs were large and juicy. The fish filet was well seasoned with lots of vegetables. The beef with asparagus was tasty as well. The service from staff was very professional and very accommodating to our needs. Overall, an excellent experience.
The dinner was in the ballroom upstairs on the left. You can use the elevator found behind the ground floor reception desk.
The ballroom had a well designed sky light on one side. It’s like having a natural spotlight during the day which was beautiful for a stage; however, if you have a projector presentation, it’s better to have the stage on the opposite wall so that the sun won’t fade out your projected image. But if your event is at night, it won’t matter. 😉
I Will come back again!
It is a big restaurant, and staff are efficient and professional.
I visited on a Sat. and noticed that there was a long queue before it was open.
You will be given the order sheet. The items highlighted will be brought by the cart, and the rest are made to order.
Food is fresh and quality, and the price is reasonable.
One of the best Dim sum places I have been to. The food is fresh and very tasty. It helps to go with someone that knows what to order, but they bring the food around to the tables if you are in doubt, try it!
I was recommended Ocean Palace by my friends who told me that it is an authentic Chinese restaurant specializing in southern Chinese cuisine, particularly Hong Kong and Cantonese dishes.
The moment you step inside, you're transported to the heart of China. The food is beyond exceptional. From the delicate dim sum to the mouthwatering rice noodle, each bite is a delight.
I never realized how much I would enjoy Cantonese food until I discovered this place!
