The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, and the selection of beers was impressive. We found it on Yelp after driving all day from Florida. Our server was incredibly helpful in making recommendations from the menu, brought iced water out for my dog, and was very attentive despite being an hour from closing. We were never made to feel rushed or hurried. The best part in my opinion was the massive vegetarian menu options. Stop reading this and go to Hughie's!!

Great food and great beer! If you love Vietnamese food and Craft beer, this is the place to be.

Misters, outdoor fans and shade - they understand the necessities for outdoor dining in Houston! Nice neighborhood restaurant with a mix of Vietnamese dishes and American bar food. Only disappointment was they didn’t have Pho. Apparently it’s served in the mornings and they sell out by afternoon according to the waitress. Also, not a lot of noodles in the vermicelli bowl. Tasty food and worth the visit.

I was not sure what to expect at Hughie's. The inside seemed a bit outdated, but damn, the food here was outstanding. They also had a great craft beer selection. This is a great example of not judging a book by its cover. My waitress was also great and regularly checked on me.

Hughies is known for their shaking beef and it did not disappoint!! My only complaint was I wish there was more of it in the vermicelli bowl... The plates had a lot more beef so I felt like the bowl was kind of lacking. The salad itself was refreshing and crunchy, perfectly dressed. The beer selection was great and the yuzu ginger had a great zing to it. Service is seat yourself and we were served very quickly. The country fried steak was large and absolutely smothered in gravy. They also have heaping portions of salad. It was hard to eat it all which is a good problem.

Happy Lunar New Year! We stopped in this past weekend for a Lunar New Year celebration. Absolutely amazing! The service was spot on. The staff was very attentive. We just grabbed a beer but the food looked and smelled incredible. I highly recommend checking them out.

The Shaking Surf & Turf salad was one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Tremendous flavor in the salad and proteins. Spicy shrimp and crawfish fried rice was also incredible. Not pictured we had the sweet chili sauce wings. Above avg wing but the sauce put it over the top. Crispy dumplings were also pretty good with top notch dipping sauce.

This place has plenty of seating inside and outside. The waitress was super nice and attentive. They have plenty of options for beer and wine, no hard alcohol. They have plenty of options for food, vietnamese and American. The food was absolutely delicious, all of the food had so much flavors and tasted fresh. Definitely will be back !

Easily the best fried rice I've ever had. The waitress was SUPER friendly, and they have a solid selection of beer. Happy hour menu looked very promising too.

Oh wow. Why did I wait so long to eat here? I don't know but now I can't wait to return. We were in the mood for a traditional Banh Mi (we ordered a sauteed chicken and a sauteed beef and shared them) with an appetizer of steamed dumplings (the sandwiches were delish and the dumplings were good but average). I was definitely doing some rubbernecking as we walked past other people's tables while being seated. I know - it's rude to stare at people while they're eating but those fried rice platters looked phenomenal. Most people added a fried egg on top and many added an egg roll. There were several things on the menu I had a hard time passing up - vermicelli bowls, turmeric fish and chips, burgers, grilled salmon, country fried steak, oh my! Plus the desserts and Vietnamese iced coffee. A return trip (or two) is definitely in my future. Sorry, no photos! We were too hungry. Maybe next time.

First time there. The Fish n Chips was the star of the show. I also tried the Bahn MI with fries. Do be adventurous and add some fried eggs and pate. I found myself really enjoying the pate with my fries too. There were great options for beer and cider. The Cali Green went well with the fish n chip plate. The vibe was chill and the service was good. I will return.

First time in, and I went with my Houstonian coworks. The shaking chicken fried rice was excellent. I'm down here from Fort Worth working for about a month, I will definitely be back to sample another food item.
