Hughie's - Houston - Photo album

Misters, outdoor fans and shade - they understand the necessities for outdoor dining in Houston! Nice neighborhood restaurant with a mix of Vietnamese dishes and American bar food. Only disappointment was they didn’t have Pho. Apparently it’s served in the mornings and they sell out by afternoon acc
I was not sure what to expect at Hughie's. The inside seemed a bit outdated, but damn, the food here was outstanding. They also had a great craft beer selection. This is a great example of not judging a book by its cover. My waitress was also great and regularly checked on me.
Hughies is known for their shaking beef and it did not disappoint!! My only complaint was I wish there was more of it in the vermicelli bowl... The plates had a lot more beef so I felt like the bowl was kind of lacking. The salad itself was refreshing and crunchy, perfectly dressed. The beer selecti
Happy Lunar New Year! We stopped in this past weekend for a Lunar New Year celebration. Absolutely amazing! The service was spot on. The staff was very attentive. We just grabbed a beer but the food looked and smelled incredible. I highly recommend checking them out.
The Shaking Surf & Turf salad was one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Tremendous flavor in the salad and proteins. Spicy shrimp and crawfish fried rice was also incredible. Not pictured we had the sweet chili sauce wings. Above avg wing but the sauce put it over the top. Crispy dumplings were al
This place has plenty of seating inside and outside. The waitress was super nice and attentive. They have plenty of options for beer and wine, no hard alcohol. They have plenty of options for food, vietnamese and American. The food was absolutely delicious, all of the food had so much flavors and ta
Easily the best fried rice I've ever had. The waitress was SUPER friendly, and they have a solid selection of beer. Happy hour menu looked very promising too.
Oh wow. Why did I wait so long to eat here? I don't know but now I can't wait to return. We were in the mood for a traditional Banh Mi (we ordered a sauteed chicken and a sauteed beef and shared them) with an appetizer of steamed dumplings (the sandwiches were delish and the dumplings were good but
First time there. The Fish n Chips was the star of the show. I also tried the Bahn MI with fries. Do be adventurous and add some fried eggs and pate. I found myself really enjoying the pate with my fries too. There were great options for beer and cider. The Cali Green went well with the fish n chip
First time in, and I went with my Houstonian coworks. The shaking chicken fried rice was excellent. I'm down here from Fort Worth working for about a month, I will definitely be back to sample another food item.
These folks always impress. Their beer selection is exceptional and always has a diverse array of options from light to dark beers. Their food is always great and very taste. The price to amount of food ratio is pretty reasonable.
Shaking beef specialty was delicious! The fried dumplings were also really delicious. Service was very attentive and clear teamwork with the staff. Beer selection was full of unique local beers.
Great selection of beers on tap and a unique little menu. The deep fried chicken wings were a great sharable starter!
Good food and service. We got the beef fried rice and chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. The pickup was easy since it's curbside. Staff was nice. Restaurant had an outdoor and indoor space. The food is definitely worth trying and looking forward to try their drinks.
My first time here. Decided to start simple. I ordered spring rolls, bbq wings and an iced tea. They were busy but service was quick and friendly. I sat at the bar and was shortly after waited on. The waitress was friendly and even though I had a hard time understanding her through her mask, we got
Pretty good place to eat and the food is always served hot. They have good choices on the menu even though I always get the same thing because it’s just that good! The wait can be a while though especially around lunch time depending on the wait you could come and go in a hours lunch time depending
Yum! Hughies should definitely be on your list of places to visit. The craft beer menu is amazing and long with a ton of options. The food was tasty and fresh. I ordered the grilled shrimp plate with a side of the lime pepper sauce (get this sauce next time you come in!) and we also ordered the stea
I don't even like fried rice, but theirs is phenomenal. Don't know how they do it. Such great food. Vegetarian options. I had the tofu rice plate, and it was flavorful and fresh. Might be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Houston! And that's saying a lot. The pick-up process is convenient. You
I had always gone to the North Main location. This location is as good. The food is reasonably priced and very tasty vegan options. The shaking options seem to be the specialty. Chili lime sauce with a high sweet note.theres a full. bar and large craft beer selection. The set vice was friendly and
