Five stars all around: The service was polished & professional; the spacious semi-outdoor/indoor seating area had a warm kinetic vibe; and the food was outstanding. For appetizers we had the crispy Brussels sprouts, pork-crab fried pillows, edamame, and chicken spring rolls. I especially enjoyed the sizzling-hot butterfish, which was heavenly, and my guest enjoyed her mahi. I traveled nearly 5,000 miles to dine here, and it was worth it.

GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!! This was our favorite place from our entire trip. The pricing is no different than any other fancier restaurants we visited but we could not find a fault in this one. Most places you go claiming to have such high level cuisine often serves small portions but that wasn't the case here and we both left with plenty of leftovers. Definitely recommend coming at happy hour as the apps are super affordable. The noodles served with the fish were amazing and could be a meal by themselves. Souffle was divine. The service we had was unmatched. Drinks never ran dry, there was a new one before we finished. 6 out of 5 stars

I've eaten at eating house on Kaua'i many times and was delighted to know there was one near my hotel. Celebrated my birthday with a good friend and had a wonderful meal. The atmosphere was great but the highlight of the night was the server and the meal. Jared was amazing as a server and I highly recommend him. He knew the food and beverage menu and made suggestions that arrived or meal. We started with the crispy brussel sprouts.

One of the best happy hours in Honolulu. Trust me I’ve been to plenty not just in Hawaii but all around the USA. Had the 1849 burger(juicy), pineapple martini (pineapple garnish packs a punch) and a glass of cold beer…WOW! To make things even better was the friendly & attentive service from Jerad. Enjoyed every minute of my time at Eating House 1849.

What an absolutely awesome experience. The small details made for a memorable honeymoon experience. All the staff were courteous, friendly and took care of us perfectly. The food was absolutely divine. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and the mahi mahi was perfect. Every course was outstanding. Thank you to everyone.

We came in right at 4 after checking in to our hotel so got in on the happy hour special. The pork belly boa bun appetizer was yummy as were the chicken spring rolls and poutine fries. My grandson ordered the crab and spicy Ahi roll and we loved them. I didn’t care for the braised Mongolian BBQ baby back ribs but my grandson loved them. My husband ordered the tender beef short ribs and said they were good and very tender. The service was wonderful. Employees are helpful and kind. Loved the little towels for cleaning our hands. We are here celebrating my birthday and my grandson’s graduation so they set little signs on our table and brought me a complimentary dessert which was yummy. We got there right when they opened so we didn’t have to wait for a table.

A good find in the International marketplace. Pleasant roof top views of Waikiki and the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed my spicy tuna roll, but the Kona Kamapachi Crudo was a little over the top. I didn’t like the crunchy things sprinkled all over it. I prefer simple. Service was top notch, with our waters constantly being refilled and our server always checking on us. Overall, we had a really nice experience.

Place is in 3rd floor of Shopping complex. We had reserved table ahead and were seated on time. Our server provided recommendations. Chicken rolls were great with the tangy sauce. Sashimi started dipped in soy sauce was flavorful. Grilled Mahi Mahi with rice was to the point. Would come again.

We really enjoyed our time here. We actually came for happy hour, did a sunset cruise and returned for dinner. Our service here was amazing, everyone continuously checked on us from the moment we arrived to the time we left. We had Jared as our waiter both times and Sebastian I believe assisted! Both amazingly informative and really personable and attentive. Happy hour - we had Hawaiian Pineapple Martini omg super strong, Chicken Spring Rolls (2 pc / cut in half)- my husband lovedddd the spring rolls, and I had Crispy Spicy Ahi Maki (3 pc) which was amazing . We left and returned- had a little wait but was greeted with smiles, sincere apologies and two glasses of sparkling wine on the house !! My husband had the 50th State Fried Chicken & I had Plantation Style Paella Rice Stew! Omg they were both so yummy and really generous in portions I must say. We also ordered the Melting Hot Chocolate Soufflé which was amazing. We were also given a honeymoon dessert macaroon in addition which was all so yummy! I would definitely try the options we had as they were recommended by our server and all soooo yummy !! 5/5!! Btw they also gave complimentary edamame to each table which is a nice tasty gesture!
