We did a little of both dine in and take out. And and she would always bring something special and off the menu to our table to try.. she made us feel like we were her favorite customer,, we are really missing you, Kim chee 3. Can't wait for you to reopen. Thank you for feeding us good. Take care and God bless. The Kaeo's (side order fried mandoo)

Food is alright, meat jun and chicken katsu from chef's special were good. Sheimp tempura and mandoo on the other hand, not so much. Kim chee was not very noteworthy. Might have to try some of their different menu items to get a better picture. Despite these reservations, quantity per dollar is high, so that's good.

This place is so good, legit Korean food. Yes, hours a hole in the wall, but it's really great.

This place is AMAZING! We stopped here on a whim and we’re blown away. The portions are both huge and delicious; the katsu is perfectly crunchy then melts in your mouth, and the chicken BBQ is the most flavorful grilled chicken I’ve ever had. The staff is friendly and attentive, and service was fast. I can’t recommend Kim’s enough!

This little whole in the wall, don't blink or you might miss it, is sort of a hidden gem. They have all the typical Korean BBQ type offerings such classic Korean style rice plates, but I was blown away by their spice oxtail soup. The only reason why I went there is because I noticed this barely noticeable place while parked across the street the week before and it caught my eye. I was looking for something new, since we have hit up just about every Korean joint in town and it was the the right timing that day to give it a try, plus lots of street parking was open. The dish that did it for me, was the spicy oxtail soup. It was a big bowl of spicy yumminess filled with decent size oxtails and lots of veggies all served piping hot. It really hit the spot. If spicy is not your thing, they also offer it in mild and is just as good, but you are really missing out if you don't get the spicy version. Mom runs the kitchen and her daughter helps out in front. It is the perfect team and they are both very friendly. Mom sent out some fried mandoo as gratis and they were the bomb. They were cooked perfectly and very different then other fried mandoo I have had in the past. She even had her own homemade sauce that was amazing. Check this place out and support a small local business. You won't be disappointed.

Legit Korean establishment. Food is authentic. Good prices too for the amount you get. Don't come for a fine dining experience, it's simple and no-frills. And don't come for a "haole customer service" experience either, the place is owned and run by an elderly Korean auntie and uncle. If you want GOOD Korean food, definitely stop by. The white and red sign outside says Kim's Korean Restaurant, FYI. Parking in the rear or metered directly in front.

Excellent meat jun and barbeque chicken, is what I usually order. Fairly priced, large portions. This place is small mom and pops. Old korean man seems stern but that is their culture. He provides excellent service, giving my wife and me ice water while we wait for our take out order. This place is a gem.

Truely a mom and pop restaurant with family members working to support this business. The food is Korean and adjusted to Hawaii taste buds. I was surprised by the amount of food provided, so much. You will be surprised by this hole in the wall restaurant. Definitely go!

The best korean food on the island! You won't find better meat jun anywhere else. Servings are generous and you can always find owner/cook Kim serving it all up with a smile. Maybe that's why the food is so ono. Back parking lot is always full, but I seem to get a metered spot in front of the restaurant on King Street with no problem. They deliver big orders within Honolulu. Go here!

Their food is delicious! I usually get the lunch combo plate with Chicken & Beef. Their rice is cooked to perfection. Great texture and taste. Their chicken and beef is juicy and has a great smoky taste. Their kimchee is so good too! I recommend this place. Prices are great for the amount of food you get!
