The parking for the restaurant is tight and limited. The dining area is small and clean. The decor is simple. The service is pretty good and friendly. The food was pretty good. The soup dumpling was excellent. The Dan Dan noodle and beef noodle soup was tasty .

The food here is amazing. The service is amazing and the lady who runs the place is so sweet. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles, which is their best seller (and for good reasons). It was so flavorful and the noodles are homemade, the sauce is amazing. Best I’ve ever had!!! She makes everything at the restaurant fresh as you order. The cucumber salad was so refreshing and the bamboo shoots had a nice sesame flavor. The spicy potatoes were very unique, she flash cooks them so it remains crunchy and the sauce wasn’t oily at all and so delicious. Highly recommend this place. It’s small so it’s easy to miss but definitely try this place.

Amazing noodle quality! Lady owner makes all noodles and soups by herself. I choose 5 steps spicy (you can choose the spicy from 1 to 10) for my beef noodle. Soup is not too oily or too fat. I love it! The blanket noodle is so tender and soup is amazing. Don’t miss the ucumber salad. Especially lady is super nice. The small restaurant is so clean. We will visit again and try another menu. Vegetarian soup is available.

Hand made noodles. Authentic Sichuan flavor. Cozy environment. Good service. Caring and proud owner couple. Easy-to-miss local gem.

Seriously the best Chinese-style noodles I've had ever! I grew up around Toronto and lived in NYC, both hotbeds for excellent Chinese food, and haven't come across anything this good in either of those spots. Noodles are all hand made and super fresh, chewy, and "slurpable", while the soup and Dan Dan sauce was very well favoured and balanced. If only we didn't find this on our last day in Honolulu, would legit eat here every day :D amazing!!

Absolutely delicious and is family-owned! This place came recommended by locals and I see why. It's family-owned, everything is made fresh and tastes PERFECT! I would absolutely recommend the Dan Dan Noodles and the pot stickers!

This is my favorite restaurant from the 2 months I was living in Oahu. It was my first and last restaurant meal on the island. I've brought a couple friends here too and they all loved it as well. The noodles have SO MUCH flavor. I usually get the Dan Dan noodles but I've tried the beef noodle soup and pork belly noodle soup as well and those are also great. The texture of the noodles are perfect too. I'm not that particular on noodle texture but one of my friends is and she raved about it. Takeout here is pretty good as well. I usually avoid getting noodles for takeout but I tried the Dandan for takeout once and it was still great when I got home 15 minutes later.

The perfect local spot for delicious homemade noodles. We arrived an hour before they closed and they were very accommodating. The noodles were cooked with a little chewy-ness which perfectly pairs with the slightly spicy sauce for an authentic Sichuan taste. The cook even came out to talk to the guests to ensure expectations are met. Definitely an affordable hidden gem.

Fantastic experience! Authentic food, reasonably priced, and a very welcoming owner. My husband and I heard about this place from one of our Lyft drivers, and we are so happy we decided to try it. We had the beef noodles and sour chicken noodles. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and picture worthy!

I dropped by Joy Cup Noodle Mean and noticed the lady owner wasn't there and the photo of her and her daughter was removed. There was an elderly man that sat across from us and he looked familiar to me. I asked the worker and was told they changed ownership this week. The elderly man was the former owner of Empress in the Chinese cultural center, the famous Wo Fat and Peking duck on Kapiolani...yep he's owned many big-time restaurants over the decades. The food was overall pretty good. The xiao long bao and spicy beef noodles were meh. The blanket noodles and bamboo shoots were the clear winners. They offer numerous types of flavorful Chinese tea which made the experience that much better. They were nice and friendly. The dishes came out fast and they were kind to give us free watermelon for dessert. I would come back again.
