Hadn't been here in 5+ years and wanted to see if it was still good. Was not disappointed, food was great as it always has been. Best little hole in the wall Thai food you can find! Oh, and if you ask for it 'Thai hot', they'll give you what you're looking for. Love it!

Absolutely incredible little ‘hole in the wall!’ Even walking in at 9pm, we were greeted warmly by a lovely bartender and enjoyed the most amazing food. Do yourself a favor, and come and experience it! They also have pool, darts and one of those modern jukebox thingies. (: you’re welcome.

Hard to find food after 9p on Oahu now but Sala Thai has restaurant quality food, despite being a bar. Service is fast, friendly, and kinda pretty. 😝

Cool little hole in the wall. Probably the best Thai food on the island, homemade and fresh to order, but limited menu to noodles, curries, stir fry, and rice. Really great service as well.

If you're from out of town and looking for a good time, some karaoke, good food and good drinks with some good people this is the place to be. I'm telling you. The Curry? AMAZING!!! The chicken? AMAZING!!!! The Spring Rolls? AMAZING!! Waitress was so attentive, the drinks just kept coming! Gregory and his team did an awesome job. Great place to remember. If I'm ever in Hawaii again I'm definitely going back!!! Thank you for making our vist memorable!

This place is interesting. It has a very unassuming front and the dim interior of a dive bar, with a pool table near the front and several large flat-screen tv monitors around the walls. One tv was playing what looked like a Thai language news channel, the rest had sports of one kind of another. Just off the bar is a dining area that has a neighborhood joint vibe. There are hanging lamps over the tables and very casually dressed staff. I chose this place for a family get-together because it's close to my job and I could walk there. And it's open after most of the downtown restaurants are closed. The reviews of the food were uniformly positive and my family as a whole like spicy food, especially my mother who grew up eating my grandmother's kimchi, which I think had a WMD half-life. My father's no lightweight either; he used to snack on raw jalapeños. Anyway, it is an odd venue. But the food is very good. My mother and I had the Evil Jungle Curry, others had varying degrees of spicy or mild dishes, and we all shared some green papaya salad. This last was a little on the sweet side for my taste, but my mother asked for the spicy stuff on the side so it could be enjoyed by everyone. I was not disappointed in the least. The staff look like they pitch in with all hands in all parts of the operation. Our server was also the bartender, and a couple of other people helped with serving and clearing, refilling water and so on, and they were all very friendly. It's a casual sort of hybrid joint that just works. Some people obviously go there to toss a few back, others to shoot some pool or hang out, and others to have some of the best Thai food in the area. I recommend it.

So my wife and I love Thai and found this place with a 4.5 rating and gave it a go. As soon as you walk in you're like "dang it this is a bar." It is a bar that serves really good Thai food. Give them a try.

Don't judge this place by its looks. If you like genuine authentic THAI and are looking for a generous amount you have to try this place. I was in Hawaii 4 years ago and knew this was one of my destinations this time around. Loved their spring rolls and coconut soup.

Best Thai food in Hawaii! Been going there 10 years...nothing comes close. Red Curry, Green Curry, Spicy Beef Salad, Pad Thai Noodles all out of this world. PS...Don't let the location fool you, it's a world-class diamond in the rough!
