I found out about this place on Facebook and someone mentioned that it was going out of business at the end of the month, so I had to try it. It's an old school, dark, hole in the wall type restaurant. There are no windows in the place so it's pretty dark. Even the front door almost doesn't look like it's an open restaurant. We went for lunch and honestly weren't sure what to expect. Seafood salad was great. Lots of shrimp and real crab, and not fishy at all. My husband got the prime rib and mahi mixed plate, and I got the half back rib plate. All the food was delicious and the serving size is generous. We ate until we were full and still took home half of each item. I want to go back before they close and maybe get a sandwich or burger.

Was really impressed with the taste of everything as well as the size of dish. Everything was on point. Drinks are non refillable but service makes up for it. Too bad this place is closing down. If you haven't tried it here then I suggest you stop waiting and head on down.

Awesome food! Escargot, fried zucchini, prime rib, hawaiian plate, loco moco, Hamburger steak w/onions, and french dip... ONO! The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because the soda and juice wasn't refillable. Service was 👍

A nostalgic style restaurant/ bar gathering place. The food is excellent, a huge menu offering from the mid 19th century supper club era, all with a contemporary-style presentation, and portions that will definitely provide a take home box for next day's lunch or dinner. The ribs and have always been tops, soft, tender, full of flavor with just a little kick. Served half or full rack, or in combo with seafood or chicken entrees. Wonderful freshly made soups, many choice pupils to select for your late afternoon business or your game day sports gatherings. I visit Henry Loui's at least once each month and have always received excellent entrees and sides. The menu is extensive, with a huge selection of sides. There is nothing fancy here, in case you expect white linen dining, and yet you will fancy everything about this welcoming ambiance with a comfortable, homey, local gathering place. And I left service till the last. It is the caring, dedicated, knowledgeable, and excellent service provided upon immediately entering the restaurant. All service staff I've interacted with have been exceptional. They represent that feeling of being serviced in your home, and waste no time in getting to know you and remember you each time you return. While I've never experienced less than friendly, personable, and helpful service from any of the staff, I and my friend have been fortunate to have a very special server, a sincere, speedy, and knowledgeable person who just fits the ambiance and can speedily handle much of the larger dining room herself, with attention to your needs and amazingly enough time to visit her tables and talk story with new guests as well as returning regulars. Kahulu is exceptional, personable and accommodating, so much so that I enjoy going to dinner not only for the great food, but because of the opportunity to see one of my most favorite service persons. Not a visit has ever gone by without having Kahulu be one of the biggest reasons for coming to Henry Loui's. She immediately inspires a friendship hard to duplicate in our fast moving 21st century. If dining here for the first time, be sure to ask for Kahulu, and not only will you be happy accommodated with great service, but you'll soon be drawn to her sincerity and you'll have a new friend for life. (And if you may not know, Kahulu works here after she works full time by day in the medical field in hospital care). Regardless of these most stressful and challenging times, Kahulu never holds back and maintains an energy difficult to imagine. Great food, relaxing ambiance, and excellent service make for a wonderful relaxing outing, whether purposely for lunch, dinner, game time gathering, or a just because hangout, and Kahulu and other staff and kitchen professionals make this a delightful and yummy visit!

Omg!! Finally awesome food for a good price! I have been here a year and a half and have had the hardest time finding good food. This place is great! It is a hole in the wall and not too fancy but the food is a must try.

We met here for our Red Hat Society monthly dinner. The meals were huge and tasted very good and the prices were great too. I would definitely go back for the taco salad and baby back ribs!

This place is similar to a great "hole-in-the-wall", has really good BBQ... although the side option of pasta is not good at all (mash potatoes was good though). Decoration inside is great, cozy place. Would be 5-star for me if the entrance was different, if it had a few more beer and non-soda options, and if the menu included the options for drinks and included some pictures of the favorite dishes.

Relaxed, cozy, almost romantic setting with the dimmed lighting. Great "home cooked" food, no matter what you eat. It is a little hidden behind another building but if you ask the locals that have been there, we all love it. One of those hidden gems...
