The food is pricey just a heads up. The food for Hawaii was good. Love the vibe here. The drinks were great. Happy hour is only 1 dollar off margaritas and tacos. Not a very good happy hour specials.
First time there and it was great. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The drink I ordered was the Halloween Special. Not too strong or weak just right! The fish tacos were delicious and so was the chicken and cheese quesadilla. The Elote was a hint of spicy but too much. The chips were a little over crispy but I think that's just how they make them since they're fresh.
First restaurant we went to after arriving in Hawaii! Food was sooo good! We got the wings appetizer and chips and salsa; super good! I got the burrito w/ queso and when I say that queso was AMAZING, absolutely AMAZING and cheesy. My bf got the steak & shrimp fajitas; he ate literally all his food lol; the only issue he had was the rice was a bit dry to him but the beans made up for that. Great margaritas also!
Very great place to eat. I didn't know what to expect other than Margaritas. The Margaritas were good. Tacos were yummy 😋 I'd come here again.
Ordered the House Nachoes, Birria Taco, Fish Taco, Steak Taco, and a Frozen LiHing Margarita. Everything here was so good. Fish Taco and Birria Taco were the highlights. Only wish the food was a little bigger, smaller portion sizes but very good. We also ordered the House Frozen Margarita which was just so-so.
An amazing lively Mexican restaurant that is highly underrated due to its location. It is walking distance from the main city center area.
Food is amazing here and so are the margaritas. We stopped by for a quick bite and drinks, ended up ordering chips and jalapeño Queso. The ambience is amazing and I would highly recommend dining in and having a great dinner!
Had quite a good experience here!
We got shrimp tostadas, chicken tacos, fish tacos, churros for dessert, and the li hing and strawberry mint margaritas to drink.
There is outdoor seating only and it is a quite small dining room area in general. I was grateful we were able to be sat so fast on New Years Eve without having had reservations.
The portions are quite small, but the prices for the food is low, as well, so it's quite on-par. Margaritas may be considered a bit expensive.
Taste-wise: food was pretty good! Wasn't breathtaking or surprisingly great at all. The fish/meat for the tacos definitely had a bit of a frozen taste to them. Other fix-ins for the tacos were alright. Pretty standard street tacos that just did the job!
Service was great. Our server was very sweet, helpful, and friendly!
I decided to stop into my local Mexican Restaurant, an open-air restaurant with patio setting. I was craving the nachos that I’ve had before with the cilantro creama sauce.
Alyssa let me know the nachos weren’t on the menu. I asked what she recommended and it was the “Birra Tacos.”
I ordered that with the beef. I was pleasantly surprised with how crispy the tacos were. Delicious.
I also ordered a freshly made lemonade by Duke in the bar. Duke is a “Mixologist” and loves to craft the drink that you want. It was a perfect blend of sweet & tart. They also offer other freshly made drinks.
Three years ago I wrote a review on this place giving it a 4 star rating. I've returned multiple times because the location is convenient, and I've always liked the food.
They expanded their footprint since my first review and have made some changes to the menu and staffing. My biggest knock prior was the staffing and work effort perceived by me, the customer.
I have returned a few times recently to realize that those issues have been resolved and this place deserves its 5th star.
The young wait staff are understandably chit-chatting and at times not looking at the floor when they should be, but I found no major delays in service and the quality of food and drink were top notch. Informality may be a signal that the staff wants to be more friendly and relaxed than a stiff formal setting, but that's fine because it's an outdoor bar-like restaurant slinging margaritas.
I like it. It might not be great for a date night or maybe not even for families, but it's really good for a friends gathering and a cackle fest for a catch up. I'd even bring some coworkers around to winge about the boss.
Well done Margaritas.
This place is amazing! Great staff and welcoming atmosphere. The street tacos were delicious and the rice was the best cilantro lime rice I have ever had. The plantation iced tea is also highly recommended and the churros are a must! We stumbled upon this place and are so glad we did! Definitely hits the spot after a day at the beach!!
