Kenny's is a local favorite. Super Ono Grindz. Just wish they served liquor.

This is the spot. Whenever we come to the island this is where we go for dinner. The loco moco is fantastic, and my son declared that the ramen was the best he ever had. The food is amazing, the service is on point the only downside I'd the slightly dirty appearance such as dust on the vents above the bar and the speaker with cracking sound, but the food more then makes up for it.

First time eating here in a long time. I was surprised my grilled mahimahi was good. Wife had oxtail soup.

Real good ox tail soup as everyone says. I also tried the burger and liked the good size of onion, lettuce and tomato in it for the price but the patty was not the best quality. A few tiny bones chewed in the patty. Yes, I am seriuos about burgers.

I had the Vegetarian Eggs Benedict and it was so good. The food came out really fast and the seat was very comfortable.

I was in for their oxtail soup. Very Fresh and steaming hot. Price are helpful especially when time like this everything else are too expensive. I highly recommend this place to anyone. The entire menu will meet your craving and the price is extremely helpful.

The Ox Tail Soup is solid. (It has peanuts) Beefy taste with cilantro and orange peel for a bit of zest to compliment the onion flavor. With a side of freshly grated ginger and two scoop rice. Can’t go wrong with this old time classic.
The atmosphere is your old time diner. And the servers are sweet.
I also got the Japanese breakfast served with your choice fish, rice, eggs cooked to your liking, salad and tsukemono. Was what I expected and tamed my hunger.

Located in the old Kenny's in the Kam Shopping Center in Kalihi. Serving their classics like Oxtail Soup and beef stew with a great staff that's always friendly. The interior decor looks as if Honey Bunny and Pumpkin are about to commit a robbery. Love it.

We tried the Chicken Cutlet with Fried Rice & Mac Salad, Loco Moco with Fried Rice, and Peach Pear Pie. The wait was a bit long because they seemed to be short-staffed. The server was nice and kept apologizing for the wait.
The chicken is made Katsu-style; moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. They put just the right amount of gravy. The Fried Rice was just right, not too mushy or dry. The meats in the Fried Rice were minced, so it was nicely incorporated with the rice. Everything had good flavor and was seasoned perfectly. The chicken and rice were still moist after microwaving the leftovers the next day.
The hamburger steak was so tender and soft. It had a lot of flavor and wasn't just ground beef thrown on a grill. Eggs were cooked just right.
The peach pear pie was moist; fruits were soft but not mushy. The crust had good flavor and helped to enhance the flavor of the filling.
Overall, great experience and excellent food for takeout!
