Great location, great selection. CREAMY!!! Perfect sizes, flavors for both the traditionalists and adventurous! The black sesame is my new go to for comfort food. Delish��!
Micro-creamery with some interesting flavors. I really liked the Habiki flavored ice cream (it does contain alcohol). Our waffle was undercooked but the batter tasted good so I can see how it would be tasty. Grab a scoop and cool off on a hot Hawaii day.
Great little ice cream shop. While they do have your standard vanilla and chocolate, I love that they have really unique flavors as well.
I tried the Hibiki whiskey. They nailed it. You taste all the same subtle notes you would when sipping the whiskey, which is probably very difficult to keep those subtle flavors after the cream is added.
For sure I'll be going back to try another flavor.

In a town with so many delicious dessert options, this one stands out. I got a cone of Honey Macadamia. Butterfly Ice cream is delicious and freshly made in the back of this cute little shop in an up and coming trendy part of Honolulu. For adults, they’re always experimenting with new flavors, today’s was English Toffee Weller: Wheated Bourbon Ice Cream.
The homemade waffle cone is AMAZING with the ice cream. Best waffle cone experience by far! I will be coming back again on my next Hawaii trip!
My first time enjoying their creamy treats and won’t be the last! I chose the black sesame ice cream which reminded me of the goma ice cream I had in Japan and could never find again, until now. My daughter chose a cup of brownie batter and it disappeared quickly while I barely broke into my yummy crispy waffle cone. Each regular sized scoop ($5 tax included) has a choice of cup or waffle cone.
Prior to choosing my flavor, I was offered a sample taste and was impressed to be given a sample on a non-disposable silver spoon! Biggest problem a customer will have is choosing a flavor or two.
Ice cream shop has original ice cream flavors, I bought whiskey and rum. Flavors not strong, just a bit. 2 scoops + waffle con = $9.
Locally made fresh ice cream like the flavors served up at Butterfly Ice Cream easily beats down the big names like Baskins and even Ben and Jerry. Butterfly may not have 31 flavors but the ones they do have (up to twelve) are quality like coconut, brownie batter, bourbon, mac nut, and mango. It’s the perfect place to stop for dessert after a meal.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a small little "hole in the wall" place at Salt in Kaka'ako, they serve delicious ice cream flavors!!! the one pictured on the right is a Brownie Batter milkshake. it is sooooo good!!!! and on the left is an Irish Coffee milkshake. my bf loves it!! the milkshakes are the perfect amount of thickness and very creamy. i don't have a hard time drinking it, yet it's not thin like water. anyways, you pick any flavor of ice cream you want and they make it into a milkshake ($8). or you could just have a scoop of ice cream in a cup or a fresh-made waffle cone ($5 regular scoop)! the guys are very nice 👍🏼
